Danny flew away as far as he could before exhaustion overtook him. He collapsed on a nearby building. He rolled on to his back as the white rings formed around his body, transforming him back into his human form. After a minute he gathered enough energy to pull himself to the edge of the building. He watched the people down below scurry around the streets of the city. Tears threatened to fall from his eyes as he watched all the people happy and together with the people they loved. "Too bad everyone I love probably hates me now." Danny said in a whisper. His mind filled with images of the last time he'd seen his friends. Their shocked faces burned into his mind permanently. They pained him to think about especially his brother's. The thought of his brother was like a stab in the heart. But as much as it hurt him he couldn't stop his mind from thinking of his brother. Oh how he'd love to go back to his brother and friends right now. To be able to sit and laugh and eat pizza with them. But he couldn't. They'd never accept him now that they knew what he had become. "Sometimes I think everyone would just be better if I had just never been born." He mumbled quietly. "Oh come on don't talk like that." Said a voice from behind him. Danny spun around only to be met with the evil glare of his older self. "What do you want?! Haven't you already ruined my life enough?!" Danny yelled. His hands clenched into fists. "Oh my dear boy I'm just getting started!" Dan said with a smirk as he shot his younger self in the chest with a ghost ray. Danny groaned as he sat up. He quickly transformed back into his ghost form. He flew up so he was face to face with the older ghost. "Leave me alone!" Danny growled as he shot at his older self. Dan fell back on to the roof of the building. "You're stronger than I remembered I'll say that." Dan said as he pushed himself back on to his feet. "You'll find I'm full of surprises!" Danny said as he landed in front of the evil ghost. Both ghost flew up into the sky and began shooting at each other. Back at the tower Robin sat in his room hugging his knees and crying softly. "Why do I have to keep losing you?" He whispered to himself. Suddenly the crime alert sounded causing Robin to slowly get up and jog over to the main room. He saw Cyborg typing on the computer with the rest of the titans gathered around him. "What's going on?!" Robin asked frantically. "There's a fight going on downtown." Cyborg said as he brought an image up on the screen. "It looks like it's between two ghost!" Beast Boy pointed out. "Danny..." Robin whispered.  Hope and happiness filled Robin as he thought about being able to see his brother again. "Let's go now! Titans go!" Robin yelled. The titans ran out of the room and headed downtown. Once they got there they saw streams of bright green flying across the sky along with two figures that zoomed around the clouds. "What do we do?" Cyborg asked. Robin's eyes narrowed with determination. "We gotta help Danny!" Robin yelled. The rest of the group nodded and ran to attack the enemy. Dan grabbed Danny by his neck and was about to take a fatal shot when he was blasted away by a different green blast. Danny looked over in shock to see his brother and friends going to attack his older self. Starfire hovered in the air, clenching her smoking fist. Danny couldn't hide the smile that formed on his face. They still cared about him enough to come looking for him. They hadn't thought of him as a disgrace and forgot about him. He was thrown out of his thoughts when a green blast flew past his face barely missing him. A determined smirk formed across his face as he flew over to join his brother and friends in the battle.
