Emma's P.O.V.
"Yeah." I reply.

I lead him to Maggie and Glenn's house and knock. Gabe looks at me nervously. "Don't be nervous. You'll love it." I say.
Maggie opens the door and squeals.

"Gabe Ward!" She yells.
I look to Gabe, who is smiling ear-to-ear. He grabs her and hugs her.

"Glenn! Glenn, come here." She yells.
"Maggie? Maggie, are you okay!?" He yells.
"I'm fine." She replies, "This is Gabe. Emma's boyfriend." She says.

My heart drops. We haven't exactly discussed the topic. I mean, we would have eventually. But, we haven't. I look at Gabe, who is still smiling. He didn't even react. I guess it's just normal for him to hear. Well, not for me.

"Oh." Glenn says, surprised. He gives me a confused look. "N-nice to meet you." He practically says it as a question.
"It's so nice to see you again."Gabe says.
"Same here. I'll catch up with you two later." Maggie says, winking at me.

"Okay." I say.
We turn around, heading home. "It's getting dark," I say, "We'll head back to the house and I'll introduce you to Rick." I say.
"Rick?" He asks.
"Yeah. The spoken and unspoken leader." I say.
"Oh. Gotcha." He replies.

It gets quiet quickly. He really isn't helping me with with the whole conversation thing. I get lost in my head when he speaks up. It startles me.

"I've missed you." He says. I could tell it was hard for him to say because of the way his eyes dart.
"Me too." I say, gulping.
He reaches out and holds my hand. Memories briefly flash in my head of the barn and the sunsets we watched together.
I don't want to pull my hand away. I don't want to hurt him. I'm just getting used to it is all.

I open the door and we walk in. Carl has his shirt off, lain on the table. His ammo is spread on top of the cloth as he cleans his gun with a rag. I shut the door and Carl turns.

His eyes maneuver. He spots our hands and turns back to his ammo. He walks to his room and grabs a white shirt. Throwing it on, he grabs his hat and puts it on. His black jeans and boots are covered in water.

"Hey Carl." I say.
"Hey." He says, without looking at me.

I feel Gabe's hand slip and I look at him. He starts to walk towards Carl. Gabe grabs one of the guns that is taken apart. He puts it back together in a split second, and lays it on the table.

"Nice piece." He says.
"Thanks." Carl mumbles.

Rick walks inside. And I turn. "Rick." I say smiling.
"Hey." He says, smiling. "Who's that?" His tone gets gruff, as his hand drops to his gun.
"Rick, this is Gabe. My--Gabe."
"Yeah." He says, "What is he doing here?" he asks, gripping his gun.
"Rick, it's okay. He's cool." I say.
"Yeah, well, I'll see about that." Rick grabs his arm roughly, and brings him into a room and closes the door.

"What's he going to do?" I ask Carl.
"Don't know." Carl says, shortly.
"What's up with you? You've been giving short answers all night." I say, facing Carl.
"Haven't realized." He says, as he slides the clip in vigorously. I flinch back.
"You just did it again." I say.

Carl slams the gun down, "I don't know." He says, "What do you want me to say?" He says, walking toward the other side of the table. He stares me down.

I walk toward him so that we are face to face. Close. "Anything." I reply.

His eyes look my face up and down. The door swings open and footsteps descend.
Carl swiftly turns and walks away. My eyes drop to the floor.

Rick's P.O.V. (Before the door opened)
"How many walkers have you killed?" I ask the boy.
"To many to count." He replies, staring at his bloody shirt.
"How many people have you killed?" I ask.
"None." He answers, like it's a ridiculous question.
"Why?" I ask.
"Haven't had the need. No one cares about a 16-year-old-boy on the road. He doesn't have anything to lose. So they don't take." He says.
"Yes or no would have sufficed." I say. "Okay. Get up." I say.
He stands up and I open the door. He walks out and I see Carl turning the corner to the couch.

Carl's P.O.V.
I put the guns in the bag and one in my holster. I can feel Emma's stare on me. I don't acknowledge her.
Gabe stumbles into the room.
"Gabe." My dad says, "You and Emma are going to stay in the room at the end of the hall."
"Yes, sir." Gabe says.
My dad nods. He looks all of us over one more time before saying, "I'm takin a shower, then going to bed. I expect the same from you all." He says, pointing at us. His boots click on the wood until he is out of the room.

"I'll show you to the room." I say, standing up.
Gabe picks up his bags and follows me.

I turn the corner and glance at Emma packing her stuff. She grabs my red plaid shirt and shoves it in her bag. She walks out of my room and follows us.

"Here you go." I say, opening the door.
Gabe and Emma walk in and set down their stuff.
"Well, goodnight." I say.
Emma spins quickly, "Goodnight Carl." She says quietly. Her eyes wander my face nervously.
"Actually." I say, they both turn and Emma's eyes go wide. "Emma, can you put Judith down? She seems too like the song." I say.

"Uh, yeah. Sure," She says. "I'll be back." She says to Gabe.
He nods, setting up the bed.

We walk down to the other side of the hall. I open Judith's door and find her standing up in her crib.
"Hey Jude." I say, excitedly.
"Hi Judith." Emma whispers from behind me.
Judith jumps up at down. I pick her up and hand her to Emma.

"Hi there babe." She smiles. She rocks Judith in her arms.
After a while, I ask, "Are you nervous?"
She looks out of the corner of her eye at me. He face goes from excited to sad.
"For what?" She asks.
"Staying with Gabe." I reply.
"I just.. I loved him. And now that he's back. I'm confused. I don't you know.." She says. Internally, I'm begging her to finish the sentence. Instead she says, "Yeah. I don't know if I'm comfortable sleeping next to someone I just got back to seeing today. And why didn't you tell me there was an extra room?" She says smirking.

"I,uh, was using it for my ammo." I say.
"Mm." She mumbles.
"If you want to wait until he falls asleep and sneak in with me, you could." I say stepping closer to her.
"Um.. Okay." She says. She sings to Judith and she slowly falls asleep. Emma lays her down in her crib. We walk out of her room.

"I'll wait up." I say."
She nods. Without making eye contact with me. She starts to walk up, but I grab her arm tightly. She looks at me, confused. "If he does anything to make you uncomfortable, just scream. I'll come." I say.

She nods. I let go and watch her walk to the end of the hall. She turns and looks at me, I nod. She turns back around, closing the door.
