(Hey for the people reading this one is sorta long, I wanted to add as much detail as I could and the start of Delilah and Bones meeting I hope you like it and keep smiling my friends :)
The officer and the doctors faces both flushed of any color as they stared at me.
"You had a slit throat, you lost tons of blood, how are you not dead?" The doctor asked truly astonished by my revival.
"I'm only going to ask once. Where is my stuff?" I growled trying to scare them.
"In police headquarters." The officer answered.
"Which is where your going in handcuffs." He added pulling out his gun.
"I don't have time for you." I quickly grabbed a steel plate holding surgical tools and threw it at the both of them and made a break for the door. I bursted through into the hallway and ran towards a correlation of hallways knowing I was being followed. I turned every corner trying to confuse the officer and it eventually worked, I lost him after running into a patients room and locking the door.
"Hello is someone there?" I turned around to a girl standing from her bed with huge black glasses on.
"Mom? Dad? Hello?" She stood in place looking no where with a confused expression. I stood still trying not to let her know I was there assuming she was legitimately blind. I took one step towards the center of the room but she seemed to have heard it.
"Look I know your there, so who are you?" She asked reaching out her hand.
"I'm no one important." I answered bluntly.
"Doesn't sound like it." She stated turning her head.
"How do you figure?" I asked agitated.
"Well considering only doctors are supposed to be in here and the sound of police sirens are coming this way I would like to think your running from them." She answered with a small smirk. Even without sight she knew my situation.
"Maybe I am." I nonchalantly added. I walked towards the window and looked out seeing police lights flood the buildings below with color. I looked around the room for useful items to help me and found some hospital pants considering I've been running around naked this entire time.
"So what did you do?" She asked sitting on her bed.
"Oh, just killed a few dozen people that's all." I answered honestly.
"Oh, yeah that's usually not a good thing to do if your trying to stay out of trouble." She giggled.
"Apparently not." I chuckled with. Loud knocking began hitting the door making it shake.
"Who is it?" The girl called out.
"State police. We are doing room checks for a possible criminal in the area."
"Well officer I'm blind so I can't open the door." She called back with a bored expression.
"Oh Uhm I'm sorry for your condition,- if you uhm- hear anything just call for someone." The officer stammered behind the door.
"Its Ok and I will officer thank you for warning me." And with loud footsteps the officer left.
"I'm guessing they were talking about you?" She laughed.
"Nah I'm sure that's someone else." I joked.
"So how do you plan to get out?"
"Out the window." I removed the latch sealing the window and pulled it off.
"Out the window?" The girl questioned.
"Yep, out the window." I answered awkwardly.
"My name is Delilah." She stated randomly.
"My name is Bones."
"Can I ask you for a favor bones?" She started to fidget with her fingers and keep her attention downwards.
"And that is?" I questioned suspiciously.
"Can I come with you?"
"No." I answered bluntly.
"Why not?" She whined.
"One you are blind, two I kill people, three your parents would probably freak out." I moved the window frame to the side and began to exit.
"I won't be in the way I promise, and I'm blind so its not like I'm gonna see you kill anyone, also my parent is in jail after he held me down and poured bleach in my eyes and I never knew my mother, please let me go there is nothing here for me they've done all they can just please." She begged and even got on her knees. Without another word I slipped out into the open and ran. I made my way into the woods it was cold but I could handle it. I ran through having flashbacks of what happened last time I was in the woods. I charged out of the woods towards some buildings moving closer to the center of town where the police station was. I kept to the alleyways and backyards for traveling. I finally found myself behind the police station where all of the police vehicles were parked behind an electric fence. I ran around and crept on the side eyeing one officer taking a smoke break at his cruiser. I snuck up and snaked my arm around his neck putting him in a chokehold. He gasped for air and slowly started to lose his stance I brought him down slowly and when he was out I snatched his and pushed him under his own cruiser. I opened the back door and walked into the half lighten room. I could hear constant chattering and phone calls leading to a pair of swinging doors that I made sure to avoid. I found some stairs and followed down into an ominous blueish green tinted light. I searched through several doors and hallways until I ran into one with a caged in area. I tried to push the door to the evidence open but found it locked.
"Ok I have two options, find the key or break it open." I reasoned the two options in my head. I walked towards and balled my hands into fists.
"The fun way it is." I smiled and kicked the door as hard as I could breaking the little latch holding it. An alarm went off as soon as I kicked the door along with red blaring lights filling in the dark spaces of the building. I grabbed my clothes and my bag with the rib cage key chains. By then I could hear footsteps coming fast. I broke the light bulb in the room and waited around the corner for them to come in the door. The door creaked open slowly and in came a gun along with the officer holding it. I waited till at least three made it in to make my move, I swiftly swung around and stabbed the third officer in the neck causing blood to splurt out onto the walls. His partner in panic and began to fire into him riddling his body with bullets, his face turned to shock when he realised I was using his friend as a human shield. I smiled from behind my shields shoulder and drew a knife from my bag, I laughed psychotically and shoved the knife through his back earning his last breath.
"You fucking monster!" The first officer shouted aiming at me as I pushed the dead cop over and grabbed his paralyzed friend.
"Your move blue." I snickered out loud getting the officer to growl at me. I made my way to the door holding my hostage close.
"I hope your not expecting to get out of here." He said shakily pointing his firearm at me.
"Of course I am." I answered cocky. I flipped the light switch causing sparks to come out and distract the officer. I cut the other officers throat and ran up the stairs finally making it out the door I came in.
"I thought it would have been tougher." I stated to myself as I walked away.
*+Later that night+*
I climbed the wall and grabbed the ledge to the window sill considering it was in the middle of the night I should be relatively undetectable. I slipped my knife between the window and the lock and popped it open. I crept through and spotted a figure in the bed with their chest slowly rising and falling. I snuck closer and closer until I was right next to the bed.
"Delilah wake up." I whisper yelled causing the sleeping figure to stir.
"Wake up." I repeated in the same tone.
"Who is it?" She groggily asked.
"Its bones." I smiled sincerely.
"Bones?! What are you doing here?" She asked panic.
"I'm here to take you with me." I explained getting extra clothes I brought for her.
"What happened to 'no'?" She mocked me.
"Well I figured this place must be hell, but if you don't want to leave."
"No no no no! I do its just-." She growled out of frustration. "You have to turn away from me." She demanded.
"Why?" I asked genuinely curious.
"So I can get clothes on." She hesitatingly said. My jaw dropped when I realised she had been naked this whole time.
"Why are you naked!?" I whisper yelled.
"Because I always lock my doors and its more comfortable than the damn hospital garments!" She yelled out loud. I turned away quickly and could feel the heat from my face.
"Just put these on." I commanded as I looked away.
"Don't peek at me." She commanded back.
"I won't, just hurry up." I walked back to the window and stared out onto the street lights.
"Uhm hey bones?" She called from behind me. I gulped and stiffened up.
"What do you need?" I asked regretting.
"Could you help me put these on?" I turned to face her and could feel my face begin to burn up, she stood there in just a bra and underwear which to be exact was facing the wrong way.
"Your underwear uhm- its uh-." I stuttered and stammered trying to find a way out of the conversation but couldn't.
"It's what? What is it? Does my butt not look good?" She turned and twisted around like she could see herself.
"Just never mind Uhm just put your arms up." I commanded, she complied and lifted her arms with a red shade on her face almost as red as mine. I slipped the shirt over her easily considering it was a little big.
"What about a bra?" She asked shyly.
"Forget about it. When we find my girlfriend she'll help you dress." Her face started to recolor itself back to normal.
"You have a girlfriend?" She asked astonished.
"Yes why?" She giggled and faced towards me.
"In the predicament your in I find it hard to believe you found someone, no offense." She took a gliding step towards me and placed her hand on my chest.
"And here I thought I'd have you to myself." She teasingly purred.
"You still don't have pants on." I pointed out making her turn red again. I tried to contain myself from laughing but couldn't which made her scowl at me.
"Put your pants on and we'll go." I commanded through chuckles. She did what I said quickly except she put them on backwards which made me laugh harder.
"Would you stop. Your gonna wake people up." She shushed me. Just then there were three knocks on the door.
"Delilah its Dr. Bradford are you okay in there?" The handle wiggled.
"Yes doctor, I'm just fine." She answered quickly.
"I'm gonna come in is that okay?" I could hear a set of keys jingle from behind the door and swiftly hid in the shadows of the bathroom. Within a few seconds a blonde man with a white lab coat came in.
"Delilah why are you out of bed? What is all of this? And last question why are you half dressed?" I watched the doctor through the crack of the door as he paraded around looking through stuff.
"Uhm well doctor I'm leaving." Delilah answered honestly
"Leaving what do you mean, you can't leave, you can't even see." The doctor stopped at the window.
"That's Ok I have a friend who's gonna help."
"Is this his stuff." The doctor pointed out my backpack.
"Probably but I couldn't really tell you." She giggled waving a hand in front of her face.
"Delilah this friend of yours, where are they?" He started to mess with my keychain turning his face from curious to disturbed.
"Doctor I'm blind I don't know." Delilah answered insulted. I watched the doctor pull a needle from his coat pocket and slowly walk towards Delilah.
"Delilah I'm sorry for doing this but your not going anywhere." I rushed out at last moment and tackled him onto the floor. He struggled to get me off and even tried to stab me with the needle he had. I grabbed his wrist slamming it on the floor breaking the syringe and spilling the toxins in it. He pushed me off and tried to crawl away but I grabbed his foot and pulled him back to me. I grabbed his shirt and pulled him into a headbutt making a loud crouching noise. His nose gushed with blood from the obvious break. I grabbed the broken syringe he dropped and stabbed it into his neck causing tears to swell up in his eyes. I covered his mouth to keep him as quite as possible while he slowly lost consciousness.
" Did you kill him?" Delilah asked emotionless.
"I had to, he was going to use a syringe on you." She let out a deep breath and fell back on her bed.
"So that's what it sounds like to be killed?"
"Yeah, its not the most pleasing of sounds when your not a murderer." She took another exasperated breath and sat up.
"We should get out of here." She stated reaching for the pants she never put on.
"You get dressed and I'll wait." I leaned down to the doctors body and began to cut him open with my hunting knife on my belt allowing his blood to flow out I reached into his body and grabbed one of his ribs and yanked causing a loud crack I repeated my action feeling it come loose until finally a snap and my hand came out with a rib bone. I looked over to see she finally figured out how to get the pants on.
"Are you ready?" I asked washing my hand in the bathroom sink.
"Yeah did you bring a jacket?" She reached out waiting. I searched through the bag and could only find a scarf.
"Uhm no." I answered guilty.
"Fine give me yours." She reached out. I wanted to argue but it was cold and I could handle it. I handed the jacket over grumbling insults and wrapped the scarf around my neck. I stuck the rib bone in my bag to finish later and slung it around my shoulder.
"So how are we getting out?" She asked reaching around for me.
"The window." I answered bluntly.
"The window, again?" She turned pale white and walked towards my voice.
"Yep the window again."
"Can't we just walk out the front doors?" She asked nervously.
"We could but that's not as fun." I let out a chuckle and grabbed her hand guiding her towards the window.
"You have to trust me." I quietly whispered which got her to calm down.
"I'm gonna go first and what I want you to do is when I say its Ok carefully come out of the window and jump I will catch you." I instructed her. She nodded and bit her lip with a nervous expression. I did as I said and jumped out not letting her know she was on the bottom floor.
"Ok come on." I insisted waiting for her. She popped her head out and carefully feeling her way she came to the ledge of the window.
"Ok now trust me its not that far." I put my arms out and waited as she thought this through.
"Ok one, two, three!" She counted down and took a leap of faith. I caught her bridal style as she fell out of the window and laughed.
"See that wasn't so hard." I chuckled and set her down.
"Yeah it didn't seem so far, probably because I'm blind now." She smiled excitedly.
"Or maybe it was because your on the bottom floor and only dropped three feet." I laughed harder as her expression changed.
"You jerk!" She shouted angrily and swung at me.
"Calm down calm down, there's a dead body in there and we need to leave before someone discovers it." I grabbed her wrist and made my way down the street. This was the start of a quality friendship, if she could survive that is.
