"sumi..." "sumi..." "KATSUMI!"

Homare's panicked shout calmed Katsumi down slightly and she lost sight of the 'family' that was in front of her. "W-What...?"

"You had another panic attack... You were muttering something about kids and stuff... You okay...?"

"Y-Yeah... Just..." he looked at her expectantly. "N-Nevermind... You can go ahead and tell the rest of the guys about it... I'm going to take a nap."

She didn't say anything more as she burrowed into the covers and closed her eyes. Homare nodded and left to go outside.

After telling the gang and the bidders what happened, everyone was either sad or mad. But Mamoru, after everyone turned to him for a moment, he had never looked so determined.

"That's it, we're gonna find who the hell killed that kid." he said, putting out his cigarette and pulling on his jacket. "I'm leavin' for the station. I'll see y'all later."

He walked off at a brisk pace and everyone looked on as the other bidders bid them farewell and walked off after the detective. The rest of the gang were still there however, Katsuki and Homare being the most upset, seeing as it was Homare's son and Katsuki's supposedly future niece or nephew.

But that wasn't happening any more. And there was no one to blame.. Not right now, anyway.

"You know what, you guys should just go home. G-Go get some rest for today." Katsuki stood up, screwing his eyes shut tightly to hide his tears,  before turning away.

"I'm going home... Sorry." he left in a rush and everyone began to prepare going home. "You too, Kanzaki." Homare said to Taketo, who was approaching Katsumi's room again.

"Who told-" he was about to snap back but Homare shook his head. "You've been here since day one she's been admitted. Just take a break, I promise I'll take care of her." The air was tense between them but Taketo sighed and gave in, surprisingly.

"Fine, but if you fucking take advantage of her again, so help me I will murder you." he left with that warning.

Night after night, Katsumi was haunted with nightmares from then on. But the same little children, Kou and Ko, from that vision she had days before, were always in them.

But the nightmares included them and their death. Falling off of buildings... Getting shot... Dying in a car or train accident... No matter how happy or gloomy the dream started, it always ended with them dying, and her waking up in cold sweat and panic.

She hadn't told anyone about her dreams, not even her brother, Taketo, nor Homare, who came to check in on her everyday.

Today, Taketo had just left with Katsuki as the two had come together to visit her today. Homare finished his check up on her but promised to be back at night to check on her before he went home for Yui.

Then night fell and the moon rose. "I'll see you tomorrow." Homare nodded and made sure she was comfortable with a glance one more time before leaving.

Looking out the window, where the moon's rays came through, Katsumi turned out her lights and leaned against the bed's head post, sitting up as she stared out with empty eyes.
