Her heart was pounding. She was deathly scared. She had been given a flawless plan to where she could have never been caught, but with a royal guard by her side she felt unsure if she was safe. There were now far away from the castle. She had stolen three of the royal horses, despite the guards wishes, and left the castle as quickly as possible. The sun was now almost of the edge of saying goodbye to this beautiful day. Yet she begged for it to stay because when she woke up, she would know for sure that this wasn't a dream. "Let's stop here for the night." The guard said, which made her jump for nobody had talked in so long. They tied to horses to trees and she and the prisoner looked for dry wood as the guard tried to build some type of shelter. The girl hadn't spoken since she came into her cell. The guard had barely said anything, and she was feeling quite lonely. "Uh- what's your name?" Lavender asked so quietly she was shocked when the girl heard her. "Astrid." Her voice was playful but also had a hint of madness she had heard so much about. They walked in silence for a few more moments with their arms full of wood for the fire. "What would you like me to call you?" She asked. "Lavender." I replied to her. "Do you no he guard's name?" She asked. I shook my head truly not knowing. In a few minutes they arrived back to the clearing where the guard stood looking quite proud of what he had done. There were three beds made of leaves and such and a fire pit where they dropped their wood and he took two stones and lit the fire. He left for about half a hour to find some sort of food and returned with a dead bird and he cooked it over the fire. Once they had finished eating their small meal Astrid finally said, "What's your name?" The guard looked up at her with a half questioning look. "If we are to travel with you we should be able to know your name, correct?" She said to him and after a few moments he finally said, "Jace." After that there was no more talking. They went to sleep in their quite uncomfortable beds as she laid there staring at the stars.
