Out of the corner of her eye Lavender saw Astrid look at the fox and her jaw drop. She looked at the fox and saw what she meant. The fox was looking right at her. Jace and her brother looked quite confused. "Your friend is the Princess." The centaur who was standing in the corner cleared up. "M-me?" Astrid asked in a shaky voice. The fox nodded then turned to me. "Now you know why they wanted your friend so badly." Astrid looked at her with a questioning look. "You have to tell them." The fox told me. I took a deep breath and started to explain my story. "About a month ago somehow when I was in the orchard the guard who was with me was shot with a arrow. I tried to flee back to the castle but someone grabbed my arm. They told me to find the prisoner thats mind wasn't right and take them far into the woods and kill them. They said if I didn't do it or I told anyone they would kill my brother. I never saw their face because it was covered with a veil. After a few days I realized the guards were being replaced and when I asked my brother he said nothing had changed. One night in between shifts of the guards there was a delay. I used that time to go down and get the prisoner. I found Astrid and Jace and we fled." There was silence until her brother finally said. "I need to go back."
