annabeth-
I ran to the Poseidon cabin when I heard a shriek. Most likely a shriek of pain. By the time I [meaning me, Jason, Leo, Piper, and Travis] got there the damage had already been done.
Percy had tried to fight back, I concluded. He wasn't successful. The fountain in the back of the cabin had been smashed to pieces for the second time around.
Riptide lay in sword form next to Percy's limp body. It proved this had obviously been a recent fight. A long black wound bled through his shredded shirt.
His bright green eyes looked completely dead. I wanted to drop on my knees and sob. Frank, Connor, Nico, Percy. Instead, I stayed strong.
It didn't take very long for us to realize something- Demigod's who had the blood of the sea god were immune to the medicine.
"Well then what now?" Piper asked Will. He looked completely worn out, with large bags under his eyes, his hair a wild mess, and limped with every step. He shook his head.
"I don't know. Frank is a complete zombie, and Nico is almost there. The medicine only slowed the process." Travis had moved over to his younger brother.
Will was right. Frank had completely grey, flaky skin. It was translucent. Whenever the sun flashed through the small window, I could see his bones.
"You okay?" Piper whispered to me. I wanted to act like it, but I wasn't. I was not okay. With everything that happened, it all was weighing down on my shoulders. Everything.
I was about to burst. Explode. I shook my head. Piper put a hand on my shoulder.
"Trust me Annabeth. He's probably thinking about you right now" she assured. Yes, thanks Pipes, for reminding me about the fact that my boyfriend is currently in a state of sleep paralysis probably dying.
percy-
It's funny. Piper always seems to know everything. I was thinking about Annabeth. She was the only person on my mind.
Even though my mind was a little fuzzy, I vaguely remember a girl stepping over me. I knew then, she was trying to poison me. After a short-lasting fight, she slashed at my chest, and I fell.
I was doomed. Everyone cleared out of the small infirmary leaving only Annabeth as the healthy person. She slid next to me on the cot, and ran a hand through my hair.
"Oh Seaweed Brain, you stupid stupid boy. Why did they choose you." She doesn't know I can hear her, maybe. Maybe.
I tried to move my lips, but I no longer had control. To put it in short: I was freaking out. Move, I commanded my body. Nope.
She kissed me, then crashed to the ground. Tears slipped out of her beautiful grey eyes. I could tell: her dam broke. Ha, dam. Those are some dam tears.
I'm so insensitive. And this is my girlfriend. All I wanted was to get up and comfort her, but I was slowly losing hope. I knew I was going to die.
Annabeth, I wanted to say.
"Why!" She sobbed, "Why did this happen! We can't ever have fucking peace. Screw you!" She screamed, looking up to Olympus. "This is all your faults you little unhelpful bitches!" Annabeth spat, still crying uncontrollably.
Grover came in, and started to comfort her. Something I couldn't do. "Why" she mumbled again and again. I was honestly terrified. Annabeth never acted like that before.
"Hey Perce" Grover said, "I know you can hear me. Empathy link, man. I'll keep her safe, I promise." I can't say I didn't believe him.
Eventually, once Annabeth calmed down, she sat next to me once more. "I can't Percy" she whispered shaking her head, "I can't do it anymore. They won't help. Why won't they help."
I admit, the whole scene made me want to cry myself. Fortunately, I was kinda not able to do anything so I couldn't.
Because they are bitches and they don't care about us at all, I wanted to tell her. Then she would laugh, call me Seaweed Brain, and plant a kiss on my cheek. It's a routine.
"I guess sometimes we, I mean they, don't have time" a feminine voice chuckled. I, myself, couldn't turn my head. Annabeth gasped.
Who is it? I telepathically asked her. Yeah, I was losing it. "Who are you?" Annabeth asked for me, her voice shaky. The room had suddenly dropped about 20 degrees.
"Why, Annabeth dear, I'm Khione, goddess of snow." Oh, her. The goddess who froze Thalia. I love this lady.
"You, why are you here?" Annabeth had suspicion lacing her voice. She was now out of my sight. All I could do was listen to her, and ignore the pain that was erupting on my chest.
"Well. I've learned to now support nobody, God, Titan, primordial in these petty wars. And by nobody, well I mean you Annabeth" she said. Her voice was thickly accented, French maybe. But she sounded no older than me. Seventeen or eighteen, maybe even nineteen at most.
"Why are you helping me?" Annabeth asked, and caught herself. "That's all I ask these days, why why why." The goddess laughed, "That's the reason daughter of Athena. To answer your why's. Can I gain your trust?"
"I don't know..." Annabeth hesitated. Finally she sighed, "Fine. But the other demigod's won't like this Lady Khione."
The goddess scoffed, "Call me Khione, Annabeth darling. Lady makes me sound old and frail like the other assholes up there. Now I know those..other demigod's won't like this. They won't know until you want them to."
"Aright then. We have a deal. What's your plan?" I could hear the smile in Annabeth's voice, but I continued to wonder if this was the right choice.
aron-
Me? I was angry. I didn't like our godly master, I didn't like our demigod master, I didn't like anything. I don't like things, by the way.
"So..." Quinn muttered awkwardly. She tugged at her dress, and Ruffles the glowing feathers on her wings.
She wasn't a volunteer. She had died many centuries ago, and was revived by our great master. The god one. Hades didn't know anything.
"Yeah. I know you hate this. I don't care" I said venomously. She looked down. I didn't like the attitude I was told to make up for myself.
Neither did she.
this one is a little longer i guess. #proud
