The Gaps

Julie's POV

"Yah! Easy Jung Sujeong! You might get stomach ache later if you eat like that!" Eunha eonni scolded as I stuffed my face with kimchee soup that they served.

"Mianhe." I said through full mouth which sounded more like "ngyangyie".

I ate just a little bit slowly as I tried to chew faster.

After I ate, a knock came from the door and then it opened revealing the doctor.

She smiled at us as we greeted each other.

"Ms. Jung, it's good to see you up. How are you feeling?" She spoke.

"I'm okay."

"Good. Where's her parents?" She asked eonni.

"They're at work. I'm her guardian."

"Okay. Let's get to the point. Ms. Jung, have you experienced fainting before?"

I paused for a second. There's no point in hiding it since I have no family to worry about.
"Yes. I always have them when I'm anxious."

Eonni gasped at me.
"Why didn't I ever know about this?!" She glared at me.

The doctor, Ms. Kang or her name was something like that, held up her hand onto eonni's shoulder.

"Let's just be calm about this, Oh-ssi."

"How the fuck can I calm down, Dr. Bang?!" Okay, so it was Bang not Kang.
"For all I know she might even be pregnant! This girl is too.. aish!" She said frustrated.

"Mianhe unnie. You never asked anyway." I said.

"You!" She shouted.

"Okay, okay. Oh-ssi, I think it's better you wait outside as I talk to Ms. Jung." Dr. Bang said and ushered Eunha eonni outside.

"Okay. Where were we." Dr. Bang looked at her clipboard.

"My anxiety attacks."

"Yes, yes. Since when did it start?"

"About 3 years ago. I took pills."

"What pills?" She asked showing a bit of worry. Or was it shock.

"Some kind of pill my friend's mom had for anxiety." I shrugged.

"I see. I'm guessing you took a lot of these.. pills. Were you sickly, Ms. Jung?"

"Um.. yes."

Her forehead creased.

"Do you still take the pills?"

"Hm.. Sometimes, I guess."

"I suggest you stop taking them. I think the pills you've been taking has the constituent that gives you side effects that weakens your immune system. Did you feel sleepy when you took pills?"

"Yes."

"I see. You need to take these medications." She handed me paper with at least a dozen medicines written.

"And you should refrain from doing streinuous activities. I was also inquired that your eyesight is blurry. When you fell the back of your head was injured and some nerves were also hit so I think you would need spectacles. You may also experience memory gaps but don't worry. You'll gain them back in time. You should also stop taking unknown medicines, Ms. Jung. That is too risky for your health. For this medicine, drink it every..." I zoned out most of what she said knowing that she'll explain it to eonni again later.

"..I'll check on you later. Don't stress yourself and don't be anxious. I'll take my leave." Dr. Bang left and after a few minutes eonni came in.

"Well?" She rose an eyebrow.

I sighed and told her everything.

"I never knew. You never fainted before performing were you never anxious before a perfomance?" She asked.

"I guess not." I shrugged.

She scoffed. And then showed me a picture.

"You remember her?" Eonni asked.

It was a picture of a girl that somewhat looked very familiar. Who was it again? My head hurt trying to remember.

"She uses the place where we found your trail. We assume she's the one who kidnapped you." She looked a bit dubious. "Or at least ordered to, since I don't think a single girl is capable of that."

Kidnap? I was kidnapped, that's right. But it was a gang. Not a girl. Who was this girl? Something was tugging at the back of my head.

"I.. don't recognize her." I said after a while.

"Is that so? Anyway, you'll be in a hiatus for a while. Just rest and don't cause any more trouble. CEO will visit tomorrow. I'll be outside and don't even think of escaping, Sujeong." She said and left after snatching the picture from my hand.

Before she went out the door, she turned to me. "By the way, her name's Park Jisha." She held up the picture. "We're still investigating but don't worry. We'll capture her and her accomplices for sure." Then she strode out the door.

Jisha? Wait. I creased my forehead trying to remember.

No, nothing. I don't know her.
