Lucy ran and ran, she can't fall in love again, she just can't. Tears clouded her vision but she didn't care to wipe them away. She couldn't believe that she had almost given away her first kiss, she couldn't believe that she had felt something for him, something that she hadn't felt for a really long time but never want to recall. Lucy ran till she tripped on a stone and fell . Her dress was probably ripped and covered with dirt and her legs were bruised and injured but she could care less.
She couldn't find the strength to get up and so she brought her knees to her chest and cried, letting all the pain out. The pain of being cheated on, the pain of losing someone so important, the pain of feeling alone. To her love was a curse, the calm before the storm. And she wasn't one to make a mistake twice, everything was going fine...till He came along
"Dear Child, what are you doing in these woods all alone?" A voice spoke, Lucy immediately looked at the direction of the voice.
There, standing before her was a beautiful woman with emerald green eyes and long black hair cascading down her back. But what stood out the most was the long white dress the woman was wearing, it looked...strange. Something you don't see everyday. Lucy felt a dangerous aura around this woman, she got up and stood face to face with the mysterious woman.
"I believe I could ask you the same question," Lucy finally replied.
The woman raised a brow, "A child such as yourself face greater risk in these woods than I."
"Who are you?" Lucy questioned.
"My identity will be revealed soon enough, but for now..." The woman then turned and started to walk off, but not before she said "...shouldn't you be heading home, Luciana Del Winters?"
Lucy's eyes grew wide. She was about to ask the woman how she know of her true identity but when she looked up, the woman was long gone. Lucy then got up and started to walk home, thinking about the night's events. It was a whole twenty minutes before she finally reached home.
"Mom, dad, I'm home!" She called and went into the kitchen to get something to drink.
After gulping down a bottle of water, she then head towards her room but stopped when she saw that her parent's room door was left ajar. She walked towards it and opened the door looking inside and was shocked to see that it was a mess.
Almost all the furniture was broken, debris was everywhere and there was a large hole in the wall. Lucy walked further into the room and observed the place. There was ice scattered on the floor and there were several burned marks too. Something big had happened here, a battle had happened here. A battle between her parents and a Summer. Realizing something she turned to leave the scene but stopped when she felt a presence behind her. She immediately shot a thousand icicles towards the person.
"Woah, Lucy wait!" The person cried, as he managed to melt all the icicles thrown his way. That voice, what was he doing here?
"Christopher?!" Lucy spoke, Chris was standing right in front of her, still wearing his tuxedo from the dance except it was a little bit ripped here and there. But what caught her attention the most was that, he had melted the icicles. He was a Summer.
"What are you doing here? What happened? Where are my parents?!" Lucy shot question after question.
"Lucy your parents were taken, kidnapped."
"You jerk! You did it didn't you!" Lucy snapped as she shot ice blades at him, Chris raised a wall of flames around him immediately disintegrating the ice.
"No, I wasn't the one who took them!" He replied but was cut short when Lucy went in close range and brought down her ice blades on him. Caught surprised, he didn't managed to dodge all of them and got scratched.
"Lucy! Stop!" Chris begged as he dodged yet another attack, Lucy however wasn't fazed.
Chris groaned in pain as his back was hit with a water whip. Chris seeing that there's no other way, he too brought out his power. Lucy kept on attacking and Chris kept on defending. They were matched, but Lucy refused to give up.
They were now standing on opposite sides of the room, both panting heavily, both in their stances.
Lucy shot her water whip at him, but what caught her by surprised was instead of hitting it away like all the other times, Chris caught it in his hand and pulled hard. Lucy was pulled along with it and the next second she was locked in a tight embrace.
"Let me go!" Lucy cried.
"Lucy, it wasn't me who took your parents."
"Then why were you here?" Lucy snapped.
"I saw the battle and I decided to help them!" Lucy stopped struggling.
Chris, now seeing that there was no need of the embrace anymore, loosened his grip. He was about to back off when Lucy yet again caught him by surprised and pulled him in an even tighter embrace. Chris's cheeks turned crimson.
"Umm...Lucy?" He began but was cut off by her uncontrolled sobbing.
Realising the situation, he wrapped his arms around her and comforted her.
"Why do these things always happen to me?" Lucy sobbed, Chris stroke her hair in a comforting gesture.
"Being the last Winter Del, your life is expected to be full of danger."
"I don't want to be the last Winter Del!"
"Shh...now, that can't be helped. We cannot control these things. What we are makes us who we are...and if that changes, we seize to exist."
"You sound like my mom," Lucy remarked, Chris chuckled but said nothing else.
After a few more minutes, Lucy finally calmed down.
"What a way to find out that you're a season as well," Lucy spoke.
"Yeah, right back at you Dire."
"Say, how did you know I was the last Winter Del?"
"The person who took your parents mentioned it."
Lucy remained silent.
"Chris, do you know any way to get into the cuatro estaciones?" (The world of the four seasons)
"Yeah, but why would you want to go there?"
"To get my parents back."
