The next few days were filled with hardcore training while Vallora plan their attack on the Summer palace. Lucy trained especially hard determined to rescue her parents. From what she heard, Summer is heavily guarded, hundreds of soldiers guarding the walls alone. It would be almost impossible to get to the Summer palace unharmed.

"Ahh!" Lucy cried out when she was struck across the cheek with a vine. Loosing her footing she ungracefully fell.

Everyone stopped training to look at the fallen Winter. Reyanold quickly went by her side and helped her up.

"I'm so sorry, my Del!" He spoke, worry written all over his face.
"I was far too agressive-"

"No, stop. Don't blame yourself! This is training, we're bound to get hurt," Lucy replied cutting him off.

She brushed off the dirt on her pants and tried to walk but winced when she moved her leg. She then looked down and realized that she had sprained her ankle.

"Alright! That's enough training for today, Reyanold please bring Luciana to the infirmary," Vallora spoke.

Reyanold nodded and put Lucy's arm around him to help her walk. Lucy clutched him tightly as she limped her way over to the infirmary.

"Oh my gosh Lucy!" Chris cried as he rushed out of the infirmary and helped Lucy sit on a chair. "What happened?"

Reyanold awkwardly rubs the back of his neck as he says that it was his fault.

Chris stood up eye to eye with him looking mad, "You idiot! What did you do?!"

"Will you knock it off?! It was an accident, we were training," Lucy yelled. She rolled her eyes,
"Besides it's only a sprained ankle, nothing worth getting worked up over."

Chris stopped giving Reyanold death glares and turned to Lucy to examine her, "You have several bruises and a few scratches but mainly a sprained ankle, I'm going to have to clean them before treating them," he spoke as he got up and went further into the infirmary to get everything he needed.

"You can go now Reyanold," Lucy spoke as she looked up to meet his concern filled eyes.

Reyanold hesitantly nodded and slowly walked off. Chris came back a few minutes later with a basin of water, a towel, an oinment and some bandages. He dipped the towel in the water and wringed it before starting to clean her wounds.

"I didn't know you were working in the infirmary, why aren't you training?" Lucy spoke as Chris had finished cleaning her wounds and was now putting oinment on them.

Chris smirked, "Vallora stationed me here, despite everything I told her she still doesn't trusts me. Probably scared that I would hurt her soldiers if I were to trained with you and the others."

"It must be rough to be a Summer huh?" Lucy asked.

Chris sighs, "You have no idea. It's always the same wherever I go, everyone fearing me and not trusting me. Never really fitting in..."

Lucy looked up to meet his eyes and saw that there was a flash of hurt. She comfortingly pats his arm, "If it means anything, I trust you."

He looked shocked for a moment but then smiled, "You really are something else...something special."

They were looking intensely into each other's eyes and then Chris' travelled downwards to her lips and slowly he leaned in, closer and closer. Lucy's heart was pounding wildly, her breath was caught in her throat and then it happened. His lips were on hers, she then felt her eyes close as she wrapped her arms around him, drawing him closer. He responded by wrapping his arms around her waist. Their lips began to move in sync.

It was so sweet and passionate that neither wanted it to end and when they broke the kiss it was only because they were short of breath.

"Wow," Chris panted out, Lucy blushed.
"That was even better than I'd ever imagined."

Lucy's face was red as a tomato now, that was her first kiss. Chris chuckles at her reaction and peck her lips one more time before continuing to wrap her wounds with bandages.

After finishing up, Lucy got up and was about to leave when Chris caught her wrist. "Lucy, I hope you know that you mean a lot to me and that I will do anything to protect you."

Lucy turned to look at him and smiled at him, "And I you, Chris."

Chris then pulled her in and kissed her deeply, all of his emotions poured into that kiss. Lucy responded just as passionately. For that was when she realized that she was done pushing Christopher away, and she knew that his feelings for her were sincere and that for the first time in a really really long time, she was deeply, undeniably and unconditionally...in love.
