"Sod off!" Antony demanded at Lance and the others and leaned his head closer to me with a deep frustrated sigh, resting his head on my shoulder,"What happened to Tyson's happy birthday?" Lance asked, running his hand through his ruffled hair,"Turnabout..." I replied, nuzzling Antony's cheek with my own,"Oh, gotcha" Lance nodded and turned to Antony's pale and depressed look with a pitiful expression,"C-can you guys give us some space, please?" I asked, politely. They all nodded and walked out my room.

"Thank you" I said as the door closed.

I ruffled Antony's black hair and continued to nuzzle his cheek,"What's really the matter?" I asked him, gently but at the same time firm about it.

He let out a tired and frustrated sigh,"Babe. I-I don't think I–We can keep it a secret anymore. He has to know the truth" Antony said, restlessly,"Why? Did something happen?" I asked,"He asked about me...and said other things that I'm not ready to tell, but...I-I just. Babe, I don't want to talk right now, please?" He pleaded, I just nodded and continued to comfort him. I've never seen him like this, like he's so vulnerable and helpless. I'm used to seeing him always in action, and so alert. Right now, he looks like he's frantic, tired and depressed.

"Antony, dear?" I called, he didn't look up to me he like he normally does, he just hummed in response. His eyes were still closed, and his head was still on my shoulder,"Why do you look pale?" I asked,"I don't know...Do I?" He looked up to me, looking as adorable as ever when he looks at me like this. I couldn't help but giggle a bit and peck at his forehead,"Yeah, you do" I nodded,"How are you feeling?" I asked, playing his fringe,"Tired, dull, bored...Must I say more?" He asked, lackadaisically,"So you're having fatigue? That's not a but of a surprise since you're an Alpha and you tend to do a lot of things" I reasoned, then he rubbed at his temples.

I cooed pitifully at him,"Maybe you should have a break" I said, then he shook his head effortlessly at me,"No. No I can't...Babe, I became an Alpha for a reason and whatever reason that is I have to do my job. I mean, who would fill in for me while I deal with this?" He asked, motioning himself,"Maybe Tyson could...He is legibly an Alpha" I replied,"He isn't educated for that yet babe, he can't even shift into his wolf yet. And that's a simple thing to do" He countered with a sigh.

"Antony you can't work yourself to the bone these days."

"I know...But what choice do I have?" He sighed,"Please? If you won't take a break for the Pack could you at least do it for me?" I pleaded,"If......If you find someone who could fill in for me" He replied,"Of course..." I kissed his forehead,"How did I become so lucky enough to have a mate like you?" He smiled tiredly at me, I chuckled,"You were you" I answered.

He huffed a breath out, straightened his position and rested his head better on my shoulder,"I love you" He said,"I love me too" I quipped, a smirk falling on my face,"Not as much as you love me though" He protested, a smirk on his face this time,"I'm sorry? Have you met me? I'm Agnes, and I only love myself" I sassed,"Fine...So you don't love me enough to care if I work myself to the bone again?" He quipped. I got caught on my own spiderweb again,"Of course not. I love you, I love you, I love you!" I said, as I pulled him to an embrace.

He chuckled, then he wrapped his arms around me and placed his chin on my head as I buried my face in his chest. I missed this feeling, for ten years I've waited to feel this again. I don't know if I can keep that secret anymore as well, I don't want to wait for us to be alone or with Judith and the others for us to do this. I want to do this with him anytime and anywhere, and I don't care if anyone sees us. I just want to be with him,"I don't want it to be a secret too" I said,"Yeah...When we're here, I don't actually have a label on you" He said,"That's an issue too. But I'm smart enough to get away from that" I replied,"Right you are, babe" He nodded.
