"Today's the day!" My foster mom says, "You ready?"
"Ready." I reply. I start to see tears in her eyes.
"I'm going to miss you sweetheart." she's crying now, and so am I. And for the first time I say, "I'm going to miss you too, Mom..."
My three friends; Anastasia, Roxanne, Callie, and of course my boyfriend Kyle, have all come to help load the truck to leave.
When my new family arrived Hunter ran up to me and gave me a great big bear hug!
He said, "Welcome to the family, Haley Hayes..." And in that moment, I knew, this was real. I finally have a REAL family.
At the new house Hunter and Anastasia help me get settled. I can already tell that Hunter will be over-protective, this is why I haven't told him about Kyle yet.
But Anastasia keeps saying to me, "You have to tell him, if he finds out on his own, he definitely won't approve."
But all I say is, "I'll tell him soon enough."
