As I lay there in the hospital bed, unconscious, I wonder what might be going on outside me. Is Hunter OK? What about Kyle? Was I going to make it through my heart surgery? Yeah, they figured out that it was my heart causing all these issues. Now I'm in surgery, or at least I think I am.
After the surgery they told Hunter and Kyle that I was stable right now, and they could go in and visit. The next thing I knew, I heard a voice saying, "Haley, I know that you may not be able to open your eyes, or even hear me, but I just want you to know that I love you. And I'll be by your side forever. The doctor said your in a comma, but stable. I know you'll pull through, you're a strong girl. I love you little sis'. Please come back for me."Hunter said as tears filled his face.
"Hey Haley, it's Kyle now, I miss you oh so much! Please come back soon, I want to hear your beautiful voice again!" Even HE was starting to get emotional, and he usually never did. That's when I knew it was bad, and I had to fight for my life as long as possible. Then I heard them leave the room.
"Haley, it's Hunter again. The doctor told me to try this, so...here goes. If you can hear me, I want you to squeeze my hand." Hunter said. And like any good sister I did as I was told.
"KYLE!"Hunter screamed out to the waiting room."She can hear me! This means she's coming back! She's gonna be OK!"
"I'm so happy that I'll be able to hear her lovely voice again!" Kyle said.
"By tomorrow she should be fully awake and talking in full sentences." The nurse said. "But we will have to keep her here for a little while to make sure she recovers completely."
