The Journey Ahead 2

*1 WEEK LATER*

"You ready to go sis'?" Hunter asked me.

"I don't know Hunter, I'm nervous, and scared."I said back.

"Haley, listen, you'll be fine, OK? I postponed the tour until you're well enough so that I can be with you at all times." Hunter said reassuringly.  That was what I needed right now, reassuring.

"OH MY GOSH, HALEY!" I heard a voice scream.

"Anastasia! Where have you been?" I said.

"I was on vacation, I totally forgot to tell you. Where I was we didn't have Wi-fi, but as soon as I got it I saw Hunter's post about you. I came down as soon as possible. I see that your going home now...I'm glad you're OK, I missed you so so much!" She said to me, I wish she could've come before.

"I missed you too!" I said to her, then she came over and gave me a great, big hug!

"Hey Haley, you ready to go?" Hunter asked. "Oh, hey Anastasia! When did you get here?"

"Like, five minutes ago..." she said.

"Oh, cool." Hunter said.

"Hey Haley, where's Kyle?" Anastasia asked.

"He went to go get a few things for me." I said.

"Awe, how sweet! Wish I had a boyfriend that did that." My friend is such a weirdo, but that's why we're friends! Because I'm a weirdo too.

"Lol, Ana." I said. Ana is Anastasia's nickname.

"Yup, do you need help with anything?" She asked.

"I don't know, you'll have to ask Hunter." I said.

"Hey Hunter, do you guys need help with anything?" she asked.

"No I think I got it." He said.

"No you don't, I want you to carry me!" I said. It wouldn't be the first time he did. I know it's weird, my twenty-one year old brother carrying me, his fourteen year old sister. But hey, I'm weak right now, he's strong, he loves me, I love him. We're brother and sister, what else is a big brother for?

"Ugh, fine...I guess we do need help now Anastasia. If you could get those bags that would be a tremendous help." Hunter said as he came over and picked me up.

"I love it when you pick me up!" I giggled. 

"Man, you've definitely lost weight since this happened." He said.

"What's that supposed to mean?" I was quick to ask.

"It could be bad, or good. All I'm saying is you've gotten lighter..." Hunter says.

"Well, I'm just gonna take that as a good thing. Can we go now?" I ask.

"Yeah, lets go." Hunter said.

"WAIT!" I said.

"What?" Hunter asked.

"I changed my mind, I want a piggy back ride!" I said with excitement.

"OK, fine." Hunter agreed.

"YAY!!!!!" I said excitedly.

"You two coming? Anastasia is waiting for us in the car.

"Yeah, we're getting there." Hunter said.

*Back at Hunter's Apartment*

'Hunter, can you bring me to my room and lay me on my bed, I wanna take a nap." I said.

"OK sis', but we have to hook up all your monitors." Hunter said.

"Why do I need those? You said I'd be OK." I said.

"You will, but the doctors said that you need to use them just in case. And also so that we can bring your records to your next appointment." Hunter explained.

"Fine, but I'm doing it." I said.

"OK, whatever you say. Just tell me when you're done." Hunter said.

"OK Hunter." I said.

*5 MINUTES LATER*

"Hunter! I'm done, but I need help turning it on." I said.

"Hold on I'm coming." Hunter said.

"Hunter, I'm scared, what if something happens while I'm sleeping?" I asked him.

"That's what the monitors are for, if something happens they'll alert me, and then I'll call 911, ok?" Hunter said.

"But, that sounds scary too." I said.

"Do you want me to stay in here with you? I'll make sure nothing happens to you." Hunter said.

"No, I think I'll be OK, can you go see if Anastasia can stay? I don't want you and Kyle to have to take care of me ALL the time. You guys can go hang out." I said.

"Alright I'll go see." He exits the room. 'Hey Anastasia, Haley was wondering if you could stay with her, she says she wants Kyle and I to take a break and hang out."

"Yeah definitely! Anything for a friend." She said.

"Thanks, I'm gonna go say goodbye then we'll take off." Hunter said.

"OK, take your time." Ana said.

*HUNTER RE-ENTERS MY BEDROOM*

"Alright we're leaving now, ok Haley?" He leans down and gives me a hug. "Love ya!"

"OK, love you too Hunter." I said weakly.

*HUNTER EXITS*

"Hey Haley, you OK?" Ana asks me.

"Yeah, I'm gonna try to take a nap, I'm exhausted." I say to her.

"OK, do you want me to stay in here, or no?" Ana asked.

"You can go, Hunter says I'll be OK, and I trust him." I said confidently.

"Alright Haley, if you need anything just yell, I'm going to go watch TV in the living room." Ana said.

"OK." I said weakly.
