After Sam called Kiefer and Von, they immediately changed their clothes and went to the dining room to join Von's parents, Yssa and Sam.
"Kiefer, andito ka pala. How's your dad?" Antonio said to his son's bestfriend.
"He's good po. Busy pa rin with his sports clinic." Kiefer answered.
"Oh that's good. Tell your dad to come and visit me sometimes. Medyo matagal-tagal na rin kaming hinid nakakapagbasketball ah."
"Sure po."
"Boys, enough na yan. Let's eat na. The girls helped me prepare the food." Veronica instructed.
"Actually, what I did was set the table. Haha. I didn't prepare any of the food." Sam corrected.
"Oh sige na, Take your seats na," Yssa joined in.
Then they settled down. Von prayed for the blessing of the food. After the prayer, they started eating.
After lunch, Von, Kiefer and Sam decided to play 2K13 in the recreation room of the Pessumal's. Yssa didn't join them cause she's not really into sports or computer games.
It was Von vs Kiefer during the first game. On the second game, it was Sam vs Von.
Pagkatapos maglaro ay nagpaalam na si Kiefer para umuwi.
"Paps, uwi na ako. Sabi kasi ni Mom, uwi ako for dinner eh..' Kiefer
"I'll go ahead na rin. I have to finish something for tomorrow pa eh." Sam
"Oh sige." Von said. "Sam, may sasakyan ka ba? O nagpahatid ka kay Manong Pipoy?" Von asked Sam.
"Manong Pipoy drove me here kanina. I'll just call him to pick me up." She answered.
"I can drive you home." Kiefer butted in.
"Baka out of the way yung house ko. Baka mapalayo ka lang, Kief. I'll call Manong Pipoy na lang." Sam
"Okay lang talaga. Hatid na kita." Kiefer insisted.
"Don't worry Sam. Most of the time harmless na man yang si Kiefer eh." Von gave Sam an assuring look then turned to Kiefer. "Hoy Paps! Ingatan mo tong si Sam. Iuwi mo ng direcho yan."
"Oh sige na nga" Sam agreed.
Nagpaalam na sina Kiefer at Sam sa parents ni Von at kay Yssa. "Drive safely Kiefer" bilin ni Veronica. Kiefer nodded and guided Sam to his car.

The trip to Sam's place was a bit long because of traffic. we were both silent giving an awkward atmosphere.
Utak, mag-isip ka ng topic, mukhang nao-awkwardan na si Sam oh.
"Uhm, Sam where do you go to school?" ANOBAYEN! ang lame ng topic mo. Panindigan mo yan. "I'm sure hindi ka nag-aaral sa Ateneo. Kasi impossibleng hindi kita napansin sa ganda mong yan." Ayun! Nabawi!
"Naku bolero! Actually, I study in La Salle." Ahhh kaya pala magkakilala sila ni Jeron Teng.
"And you're taking up?" I asked.
"Human Biology" she said.
"Smarty pants. You wanna be a doctor?" Her expression changed as soon as I asked. What's wrong with my question?
"Yeah. Just like my mom." I looked at her then saw her sad face when she mentioned her mom.
I wanted to ask what's with her Mom but she immediately changed the topic.
"Hey, diba you have a game on Sunday against La Salle'" she asked
"Yes, Against YOUR school." I emphasized the word your then looked at her with a teasing grin saying imma-beat-your-team-down.
"Siigurado naman akong matatalo kayo ng mga yun. Haha.' She teased back and stuck her tongue out.
I laughed. "Kami? Matatalo ng team niyo? Parang hindi rin," I continued to tease her.
"Manuod ka kaya ng game sa sunday kung nang makita mo kung panu namin lampasuhin ang archerss mo." Lame ka talaga Kiefer, magyayaya ka na lang. Di mo pa maayos.
"Talagang manunuod ako no. I will cheer the archers up and cheer you down" then she laughed.
I faked to change my expression to sad. "Paano na yan? May machi-cheer kina Jeron na maganda, panu na kami ni Von?" puppy eyes.
Then she laughed again. "Shizz. Fine. I'll try to be neutral." Lumapit siya sakin na parang may ibubulong. "But you know I'm a little biased. I got my bestfriend in Ateneo." she said.
"Panu naman ako?!"
"Sige na nga. New Bestfriend na kita." then she smiled.
"Yun!" ang cute niya talaga.
While stuck in traffic, we continued to talk about ourselves. I learned that she really likes sports. Aside from basketball, she also plays volleyball. Through volleyball, she met her close friends in La salle now, no other than the Lady Spikers. But she's closest to Mika and Ara kasi magkasing-age lang sila.
She even teased me with Mika because of my tweet which says I like Mika. Actually what I meant with that was I really like her when she's playing, I like her as a volleyball player. Issues. -.-
She also told me that she can play the celo. Talented talaga.
I also shared somethng about myself din like the things i like other than basketball. She was even shocked when I told her I can cook. Then, I could also play some insturments like guitar and the drums.
I feel more comfortable to her now. Wala na yung awkwardness kanina. It wasn't hard to be close to her.
We finally arrived at her place. Their house is huge. Then I remembered what she said early this morning that she's home alone. Ang laki ng bahay pero siya lang mag-isa? Nakakatakot nameeeen.
"Diba sabi mo kanina ikaw lang mag-isa dito, diba ka ba natatakot?" I asked
"You took it literally. I'm with the helpers naman and some of the house staff." She said. "It's just that my family isn't here as of the moment."
"Nasan sila?"
"Work. Somewhere around the globe." She said nonchalantly. "They'll be home when they're free and that's very indefinite."
"Will you be okay here?"
"Yeah. I'm used to it. They'll call or skype me later."
"Okay. Give me your phone." She took out her phone and gave it to me. I dialled something there and gave it back to her.
"That's my number. Call or text me when you need anything. Okay?"
"Bestfriend duties agad ah." Then she pressed somethign on her phone. I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket.
"You have my number na din. You can call and text me din if you need anything." Then she smiled.
After the exchange of number, I bid my goodbyes and went home na din.
When I got home, I opened my social networking sites. Wala namang interesting na basahin. then I remembered I was thinnking to follow pala Sam. I immediately did.
Pendiinngg. Then she allowed me to follow her. I immediately tweeted.
