Kiefer has been in coma for almost five weeks.. The doctors had been doing the best they could. The Villarazas even shipped some internationally known doctors to attend to Kiefer's situation. But to no avail, he is still in the same condition.
Sam, on the other hand, almost never left Kiefer's Sam. He's with him almost everyday, during her breaks in school. Even during her 30-minute break, she would still sneak to the hospital.
She also changed her permanent address to Kiefer's hospital room. She sleeps there every night since the incident. Her brothers were against it but they couldn't bend Sam. So what they did was transfer Kiefer to the biggest room in the hospital and arranged it to accomodate both Sam, Kiefer and all the equipments attached to him. Sam has her own bed in the room and a small closet for her uniforms and clothes. The brothers couldn't just say no to her.
Before she sleeps at night, she would sit beside Kiefer and whisper how much she loves him and how much she wants him back. She would always read books aloud for him or tell him stories or what happened to her that day. She never forgets to do all those things for him.
One morning Simmy and Von visited Kiefer and Sam in the hospital. Sam was beside Kiefer when they arrived. She didn't notice them for she was talking to Kiefer, yet again.
"School been pressuring me so much, babe. I don't know what's happening to me. School used to be very easy to me. I can't seem to focus. My mind seems to always fly here. I'm not blaming you though. I'm just iving another reason to wake up and be well again," Sam said as if she already had given him a lot of reasons.
Von and Simmy opted not to bother her. They just stand and watched her. She continued to talk even without getting a response.
"Ayan na ha. Dagdag na naman sa listahan mo yan. Remind kita again ha. Kiefer's reasons why he needs to wake up: number one, your family is so worried about you, especially your mom. She lost a lot of wieght. Number two, your sister has a manliligaw, Thirdy needs you to fry the guy. Thirdy thinks he's too proud and he needs his Manong to back him up. Number three, I told Ate Ana I couldn't help her with the wedding preparation because you still need me. Number four, I'm out of focus in school becuse I'm always thinking about you. Number five, this one, I know, will wake you up. I don't eat breakfast anymore. I know how angry you can get if you knew I wasn't eating my breakfast," Sam continued to talk. She paused for a while and waited for a response from the patient. There was none.
She is still oblivious to Simmy's and Von's presence behind her. She is holding her tears for the nth time in the last coupe of weeks. She thought she needs to be strong for her guy.
"Kief, if those weren't enough, I still have some here," she started again.
"Kief, i mss you so much... It wasn't the end yet when I said yes to you on that day naman diba? We still have to continue our love story... Gising ka na oh. I want to see your eyes again... I want to hear you say you love me... I need you to remind me to eat my breakfast... I need you here.... I'm miserable without you. Please come back to me," Sam couldn't keep her tears anymore.
She hid her face in her palms and started to cry. Her friends' hearts broke seeing her like that. It was so heartbreaking to see her plead the one she loves to come back to her.
Von couldn't just stand there and watch his bestfriend. He immediately grabbed her and enveloped her in his arms. Simmy stood beside them and stroke Sam's back.
"I miss him Von," Sam said while still in Von's arms.
"Shhh... I know. We just need to be a little more patient, Sammie. He'll come back," Von soothingly said to his bestfriend.
