I walked down the stage and stood in front of Shayne. I cupped her tear stained face with my hands and wiped it away. I hated seeing her like that. It breaks my heart and I'm willing to do anything just to keep her happy.
"I love you." I kissed her gently. I pulled back and too her hand in mine. I gently pulled her up to her feet and wrapped my arm around her small waist.
"Where are we going?" Shayne's voice shook as she asked. I shrugged and led her to the back, to a particular room.
"I was sitting right there when I saw you talking to your uncle over there." I pointed to the chair in front of the 3rd mirror then pointed just outside the room. "I don't know what came over me but I just stood up and walked over to you and your uncle." I smiled.
"You said 'Hi' and I said 'Hey' then my uncle said-"
"Just because you're a popstar doesn't mean you can hit on my baby girl." I chuckled, mimicking his uncle. I remembered that clearly and it's obvious Shayne did too.
"That was hilarious. Your face was priceless." She giggled. I smiled at the sight of her so happy. Like I said, I'd do anything to keep her happy.
"Let's go." I said. We can't stay for long. I have this whole day planned out already. We drove for a few minutes to a certain coffee shop. I opened the door for her and smiled at the cashier as we entered.
"Liam, Shayne." She smiled at us. "What can I get for you two?" She said with her sweet voice. Rebecca, or Bec as we call her, was the cashier when Shayne and I first met here.
"Hey, Bec." Shayne greeted politely. "The usual?" She glanced at me. I nodded. "The usual." She told Bec. I only smiled at her. Bec is aware of my plan for today. I paid Bec and led Shayne to the table at the back of the cafe.
"This is where we sat a week after the gig. I finally got the courage to follow you on Twitter then sent you a DM to ask if you wanna go out with me." I noticed the smile tugging on the sides of Shayne's lips.
"I was fangirling when you followed me. I never actually thought that you'd do it. After all I was merely a girl in the crowd, just a fan, but you followed me." She stated, that dreamy smile on her face.
What would I do without this girl? How will I cope with the loss if she finally leaves me?
"Yeah and look where we are now..." I smiled at her. I held her hand and our order came. Bec served it, too.
"Thank you." Shayne said politely. I smiled at her and mumbled a thanks.
"No problem. Enjoy your drinks." Bec said cheerfully, walking back to the counter.
Shayne and I stayed there for a while before we finally had to leave. I really had to manage the time because I'm running out of it. I can feel it. As I was driving, Shayne was singing along with the song playing softly through the speakers of the car. I asked her to put the blind fold on again and this time, she did without a fight.
As we got closer to the 3rd destination, I grew nervous. Every destination means closer to my deadline. And the fact that I can't do anything about it makes everything a lot more painful. I sighed and shook my head. I parked the car and stopped the engine.
"We're here." I told her and got out of the car. As I was walking towards Shayne's side, my heart started to beat faster. I opened her door and helped her. She swayed a little but said she's fine.
"But babe-"
"No, Liam. I'm fine. Let's just go. I'm pretty excited for this one." And excited she was. It was clear on how wide she was smiling. I can't take that away so even if I don't want to, I'll push through with this if it's the last thing I'd do for her. I led her to the tree by the lake and removed the blind fold.
"This place..." She gasped with her eyes wide open and tears welling up in them.
"This place is very important, Shayne. This is where we became official." I held her hand. I walked us closer to the tree and showed her our carved initials.
L + S = ღ
We sat down on the picnic set up and ate. I leaned on the tree beside the food and Shayne sat in between my legs, her back to my chest.
"I always loved the fresh air out here. And the sound of the water calms me down." She said out of the blue. I hugged her tighter and kissed her cheek.
"I love you." I whispered.
"And I love you." She whispered back. She turned her head and kissed me lightly on the lips. I love this girl. I'm sure of that. And I am also sure of the fact that my world will fall apart and my life will never be the same again if this girl will finally leave me.
