My Mistake

"Shoot,shoot,shoot!This is not good!!" I whispered to myself as I kept looking down at the pregnancy test in my hands, hoping that if I looked down it would read negative instead. But sadly that was not the case, I was most likely pregnant. "Ok, calm down Nikki maybe the test was wrong."I said to myself trying to think positively. "There's only one way to find out." I thought. I then grabbed my keys to the car and walked outside and climbed into the car. The whole drive I kept thinking "I'm not pregnant,I'm not pregnant!" I finnaly reached the store and walked towards the pregnancy tests. I grabbed one and walked to checkout. When I was checking out I noticed the cashier giving me a nasty look, "it's for my mom you Idiot!"The words were out of my mouth before I even thought about it. The cashiers face turned bright red and she looked away. I took the bag she gave me and headed out of the store. I got home and locked myself in the bathroom for the second time today and took the test. When the results came in they once again read positive. There was no denying it I was pregnant.

10 minutes later my best friend Audrey was at the door. I had called her and told her to come over ASAP. I opened the door and she was standing there.

"I'm here whats the Emergency?!" She asked.

"Shhhhhh, follow me." And with that I walked towards my room with her following me.

"Alright seriously your starting to creep me out with all your seriousness whats going on?" She demanded. I couldn't answer so instead I picked up both the pregnancy tests and handed them to her. She looked at them and looked at me in horror.

"Nikki is this serious?" She asked softly. I nodded I was about to cry.

"I found out today." I said.

"It's gonna be ok Nikki I'll be here for you I promise."

"Thanks Audrey." I said.

"Have you made an appointment for the doctor, sometimes these things can be wrong." Audrey told me.

"No not yet I guess I'll go tommorow." I answered. She nodded in agreement. "How could this be happening?"
