I drove home fuming about life, it was weird I had never been so angry, probably the hormones acting up. I decided as pulled into the drive and walked into the house to see my father, sitting in the living room like he belonged there, like he never ditched us for some other person. He looked over at me, I scowled back at him.

"Hi Nikki." He said as I walked past him into the kitchen looking for food. I

just sent him an icy glare in return.

"Nikki I know this is hard for you, but I would really appreciate if you would respect-"

"Respect you?!?" I finally cut in turning to look him straight on. He was about to say something but I ignored him. "Did you respect mom when you left her? Did you respect Ally and me by just leaving without telling us? Did you respect me after years of being gone and just randomly popping back in?!" I ranted, it felt good to get it all out in the open I felt like I was finally being able to be set free from these emotions. He looked at me, sadness was in his eyes.

"Nikki, I'm sorry that I left without telling I thought it would be easier for you and Ally." He finally said.

"Yeah well it didn't." I mumbled back to him. He looked like he wanted to cry, and honestly I think I wanted to as well.

"Can we please just try to get along, I'm your father, I miss you." I looked over at him and saw he was being completely honest. I looked down and thought, and at that moment I realized I really did need my dad, I missed him and I wanted him to be back in my life, even if it would be hard to do at first. I looked up at him again and nodded. He smiled widely and I gave him a small half smile. "Thank you," he said sounding incredibly relived.

"You're welcome." I whispered back quietly. And in that moment I thought that maybe just maybe we could be normal again, but then he opened his big fat mouth.

"Ok now Nikki I need you to not freak out when I tell you this," I gave him my best are you serious look, I mean like seriously who makes up with their daughter than begins the next sentence with 'don't freak out?!' Anyways he looked at me and said, "Julie is coming over." And there's the dad I know and don't love.

"WHAT?!" I yelled, so loudly that he jumped and Ally came running down the stairs from where she had been hiding.

"What's going on you guys?" She questioned as she hurried down the stairs to the spot next to me. I turned to her and angrily said,

"He's bringing his stupid wife over here." Ally looked horrified.

"No way, we are not letting her in this house!" Ally said crossing her arms indignantly. I followed suit. Dad's face hardened.

"Listen I am going to be here for a while because of Nikki's stupid mistake, and Julie is not going to be alone for 9 months." He said his eyes were hard, but I didn't care about Julie anymore, I was livid about his other comment about my baby being a 'stupid' mistake. Sure it was a mistake, but in no way would I let anyone call it stupid, I mean for gosh sakes it's an unborn child we're talking about! I looked over a Ally and she looked just as angry as me. I couldn't think straight, all I saw was red so I did the first thing that came to my head I walked up to my dad and slapped him (A/N OMG please don't take this the wrong way you should never hit your father, or anyone in life)

Then I walked away from him and into my room and locked the door where I stood and screamed as loudly and as long as I could, getting all the stress anger out of me. I then took deep breaths to calm down, after about 10-20 minutes of keeping calm the door bell ring which could only mean one thing, my stepmother had arrived.

Meeting Julie was weird and awkward, I had never ever seen her in my life and I never wanted to. I suppose she was nice enough. When I came downstairs I caught her looking at me, and my stomach, not in disgust but more confused as to how a girl like me had managed to get myself in this situation. She quickly wiped the confusion off her face and gave me a warm smile.

"It's so nice to meet you Nikki." She finally said, breaking the silence that had overcome us. I simply stared, I was kinda surprised she wasn't nearly as slutty as I had thought of her to me, she looked like a normal 40-year-old women. I finally decided to speak.

"Hi." I said, hey it was better than nothing right? "Umm... Ally's probably upstairs, I'm gonna go get her." I said to the women standing in my house whom I had never met until now. She nodded at me and I walked up the stairs to Ally's room. I knocked softly.

"Come in." I heard her say, I opened the door and saw her sprawled out on the floor. I sat down next to her and looked at the home work she was doing. It was algebra, I never understood algebra I hates it.

"You should come meet Julie." I coaxed her. She looked at me and shook her head. "Honestly Ally she's not that bad, she was pretty nice to me." I told her. She turned to me.

"How do you know?" She demanded.

"Well considering she didn't act like some of the other adults around here about what's going on, I says she's pretty ok." I finally told her smiling slightly. She slowly nodded and got up, then pulled me up off the floor.

"Ok, I'll meet her." And with that we walked out of her room ready to officially meet out stepmom.
