Married?! Part 7

You returned home after being at the office and the showdown with Zak, it was hard to face him after everything, everything we've been through the fights the tears the pain and all of the good times. This is what was best for him i couldn't let him feel trapped in a marriage to me even if it was only for a little while, I didn't want him to think I did this on purpose, it was what was best for him maybe not for me but it was what it was.

You walked up to the door and you heard your phone go off thinking it was zak I wasn't going to answer it but did anyway in case it was important.

"Hello?" You sigh

"Y/N?" Cece asked

"Yah hi what's up?" You ask

"So I was in Zak's office and I seen your purse here in Zak's office you must have forgotten it last time you were here" she spoke

"Oh dammit I'm sorry I've been..." You start

"It's alright zak mentioned what was going on" she said

"Of coarse he did" you mumble

"Listen I can drop it off but I have a ton of things to do so would you mind coming here?" She asked

You groaned to yourself "sure I'll be there soon" you said and hung up. "Got anymore for me?!" You say looking up at the sky and get into your car and drove over to his house. You walked in and had Gracie greet you and you smiled softly "hey lovey girl" you say and kneeled down and hugged her giving her a kiss on the head and she returned it with cheek licks.

"Aww love you too, sweetheart wish your daddy felt the same" you say and let her out back as you went up to his office and started looking around for your purse.

Once upstairs you walked into his office and started looking around and found it behind Zak's desk, you picked it up and looked inside making sure you had everything inside and that you haven't forgotten anything anywhere else. as you looked through the contents you found a folded up paper so curiosity got the best of you and you opened it up and found out it was the certificate of the marriage a week ago, with a sigh you stuffed it back in to your purse and went to walk away and you seen those papers from the other day and seen your name so naturally you looked through them.

It was divorce/annulment papers. You didn't know how to feel about them, as you looked through them you had seen he signed his name on one of the lines. Sure it upset you hurt your heart to think that he couldn't be married to you, you of all people. You teared up and signed on all the lines by your name and snuffled grabbing your purse and heading to the door only to run right into Zak.

"Ah shit sorry" you say and realized it was him and shut your eyes fast and looked down

"What are you doing here?" He asked

"Just to get this" you held up your purse

"Oh right yah you forgot it the other day...are you ok?" He asked wiping a tear from your cheek.

You pulled away "I'm fine I'm always fine..papers are signed" you say and walked down the stairs with Zak going after you making you walk faster to the door only to be grabbed by the shirt and arm.

"Hey stop please" he said and held you with your back to him.

"Just let me go its for the best ok? You don't want me I see that now I'll be your friend but nothing more no more sleepovers I can't do that anymore it's not fair to....Gracie" you covered lying but what could you do confess your undying love for him right there? Hell no.
