SIX: The Nerd Plan {Part TWO}

It was obvious to Tabitha that Joseph had told them everything. Now nothing would go to plan. Joseph. She despised the thought of him. She looked at his hypnotising eyes. He smiled his shark grin. “I dated you as a joke. Diablo here; he dared me. You know how you thought I was new to this school? Wasn’t. Been here for ages. So I went over to you, ask you out, you say yes. I figure, ‘you’re hot so why not’,” he said, “Getting off track a bit aren’t we?” the circle closed in around them. Daelyn threw the first punch. It was headed right for Tabitha’s face, but Caitlin was faster and quickly redirected it, barely missing Tabitha’s head. “Thanks,” Rasped Tabitha. Jonathan stood up, sent a punch at Diablo’s face. Diablo’s nose started to gush with blood. Jake shot a fist in the direction of Darcy’s chest and it connected with his sternum; winding Darcy.

“Ouch!” complained Darcy, his lungs short of air.

Sage and Parish grabbed Lincoln’s wheelchair with a grin, attempting to push it over, but Lincoln sent a plaster-covered foot into Parish’s knee, and then his other foot into Sage’s chest. Both boys fell to the ground. Darcy tried to send his fist into Jake’s face, but it missed and accidently sent the force into Jake’s shoulder. This caused Jake to fall back a bit, so Darcy sent another punch, this one intercepted by Jake’s palm. Jonathan sent one more punch towards Diablo. It hit his temple and he was down. Jonathan had a few seconds to observe, looking around, Lincoln sat in his wheel-chair, Sage and Parish at his feet, Darcy was in combat with Jake, Caitlin and Tabitha were fighting against Daelyn and two of her friends, Castielle had obviously ran off. Jasmine started to join in between Caitlin and Tabitha. Caitlin and Tabitha were losing. Jasmine made little difference. He had to protect them. But he couldn’t hurt a girl. If he hurt a girl, what would people think of him? He walked over to the brawl of six. Daelyn’s hand was about to connect with Tabitha’s face, Jonathan acted quickly, and he shoved his hand to meet with Daelyn’s rushing hand. “Hi-Five,” said Jonathan with strain in his breath. Daelyn sent Jonathan a poisonous look. Jonathan grabbed both of Daelyn’s arm, not hard enough to hurt her, but with enough force to keep her in place, Tabitha took this as an advantage and sent a few kicks to her ribs, then a fist to the face to even her up. Tabitha’s fist had knocked had knocked Daelyn out. All that was left was her two side-kicks. Tabitha shot both of them hate-full looks and they both cowered and sprinted for their lives. Tabitha breathed a sigh of relief. “Were is Castielle?” asked Caitlin.

“I think he ran off-“ Jonathan specified, then was interrupted by a loud groan.

“Owww…”said the voice. They all walked over to the rusty old play-ground to see Joseph kicking Castielle in the ribs. Castielle was on the ground, his eye was black, and his brow was split. Jonathan saw this, ran up to Joseph, and slammed a fist into his stomach. Joseph gasped, his breath knocked from his body, and dropped like a puppet with the strings cut. He picked Castielle from the ground.

Darcy couldn’t see were everyone else was. He was there, by himself in a fight against Jake. He was losing. Jake flew a punch that landed below Darcy’s right eye sending tendrils of pain throughout his face. Darcy fell to the ground.

Sage and Parish woke almost simultaneously. They realised what had happened. Parish and Sage looked at each other, sharing a look that obviously meant: Let’s get him. Parish grabbed one wheel, Sage grabbed the other. They both pushed them at the same time and, Lincoln was down and unable to get back up. Sage and Parish looked around at the park. Daelyn was on the ground. “Daelyn?” said Sage with a frightened look on his face. She didn’t answer. “Daelyn?!” he panicked. He sprinted over to her. Still breathing. She was knocked out. He left her after noticing the fight between Darcy and Jake. They decided to join in. They marched towards Darcy and sent fists into his ribs. Jake sent another fist into Darcy’s sternum. The trio kicked and punched at Darcy until he was in extreme pain. Darcy felt like he was experiencing the worst pain in his life.  Each breath was short and sharp.

Another kick landed in his ribs, then another in the back. They decided that Darcy was beaten. They walked over to Daelyn, who was now picking herself off the ground. Sage rushed over to her aid. “You okay?” asked Sage.

“Yeah. No thanks to you!” complained Daelyn, “was everyone else?”

“Yeah.” Said Sage. He was used to Daelyn complaining all the time.

“Were is Rebecca and Gladys?” those were the names of Daelyn’s friends.

“They ditched. You got beaten then they ran off.” Said Jake.

Daelyn scowled. She would get them later.

“So where are all those little retards?” asked Parish, “We just took down Lincoln, but where are the rest?”

“Joseph went that way. I’m guessing he’s been beaten.” Said Jake pointing behind the old fort. They walked that way to see Joseph on the ground and Castielle limping. Jake picked up a rock and pegged it at Jonathan.

“Ouch!” said Jonathan as the rock hit his head. Jake came out of seemingly nowhere and shoulder-barged Jonathan to the ground. Jake then sent a few punches into Jonathan’s head. He didn’t get back up. Then Daelyn immerged and tackled Tabitha to the ground, then her two side-kicks came back after freaking out before and did the same to Jasmine and Caitlin. “Caitlin! Are you okay?” panicked Castielle. Her answer was a painful groan. Castielle began to get extremely mad. He lifted his fist and sent it straight for the back of Sages head. Then he felt a huge force hit him in the back and he was sent to the ground. He looked up through blurry vision to see Diablo with a blood-covered nose staring down on him. Diablo sent a foot into the side of Castielle’s head and he blacked out.

Darcy was on the ground. Jake, Sage and Parish had left him alone. For now. He was in a lot of pain. He tried to stand up. One leg, second leg, success. He stood up, he saw Lincoln on the ground, out of his wheelchair. He walked over to him.

“What happened?” Darcy asked.

“They got me by surprise. Pushed me out of my wheelchair.” Lincoln replied.

“The Bully Plan has failed. All because of Joseph.” Informed Darcy.

“That bastard is going to get it.” Lincoln predicted.
