Raven's song

In the depths of the cold mansion basement, I laid on the bare cot hugging my knees. The coolness of the room ran through my bones prevented me from sleeping.

"I'll be out of this place soon... it won't be long." I said to myself, this wasn't my first time being in the 'Dungeon'. I have been sent here a few times as punishment for disobedience.

Turning onto my back, I began to think about Lord Shu and Ayato. I was worried deeply about the two vampire princes. Normally I heeded the warnings of the servants and avoided them, but eventually I grew close to them and their siblings. What hurt me emotionally was that Ayato and his siblings were treated poorly by their mother.

'I just hope they're alright...' I thought slowly closed my eyes trying to get some rest. Within the moment of the silence, I heard a moan and got up from the cot.

"Hello, is someone there?" I called out into the darkness.

The attitude of the moan sounded like someone who was in great pain. Getting up from the cot I followed the moans trying to find the person. It was difficult to see in the dark but by following the moans, I found a boy lying on the floor.

"Hey! Are you ok?" I asked, holding the boy up. His body was as cold as death and he was breathing heavily. I leaned my head close to his chest but couldn't hear his heartbeat at all.

"Guards! Guards I need help, someone!" I called to the door, but there was no sound or movement from the outside of the basement. I presumed that they have gone to the surface for lunch. I didn't want to see anyone dying in front of me so I dragged his body. The boy moaned as I lay him on the cot and peeped through his luscious yellow eyes. They were just like Ayato's eyes. Examining him carefully, I realized his skin was pure white but was covered in scratch marks and his tattered clothes were made of the finest fabric.

'I wonder if he is a noble, " I thought. Bending down, I pulled out a dish of water from under my bed and cradled his head. Tipped the metal dish to his lips, I poured the water into his mouth. The boy coughed out some of the water and gripped my arms tightly.

"It's ok, don't worry. I'm helping you" I said encouragingly he. His lips parted and murmured something I couldn't hear so I leaned closer to try to hear him. But I could barely have time to react as he pushed me onto my back and buried his teeth biting into my flesh.

"AHHHH!"

I screamed, struggled against the boy. He bit harder into my shoulder and I forcefully kicked him in the stomach. He fell onto the ground and groaned held his stomach painfully while I holding my shoulder, glaring down at him angrily. The red haired vampire looked at me from the cot with the blood dripping from his mouth onto the shirt and His eyes glow brighter than before. He got up slowly and walked toward me.

"No!" I yelled, causing the boy to stop in his tracks, "Don't you dare come near me!!"

The vampire just stood there and chuckled to himself; I raise an eyebrow at him and watched as he moved to the other side of the cot.

"Hey, what's so funny?" I asked, the boy gave me a curtly smile and moved closer to me.

"Oh, is that anyway to address your prince?" He said seductively, I looked confused until I noticed the familiar features of the boy.

"Wait....Lord Ayato?" I said but he clicked his tongue and waved an elegant finger in the air.

"Wrong. Guess again, little girl..."

Narrowing my eyes I leaned close to the boy and touched his face. He flinched as I carefully examined in the dimness of the light.

"Lord Laito."
