I felt a feathery touch on my skin which caused me to stir in my sleep. My eyes peeked open and I saw a face of a person looked down at me. Curiously, I tried reached my hand towards the person but I barely had the strength to move my hand. The person moved away by the gesture of my movement.

"Don't go near her." A gentle voice spoke out.

"But she moved." the male voice replied

"The Lord will not be happy if you disturb her. Come stand over here, Milord."I heard the pattering of feet on the cold marble tiles moving away from me. I realized I was in bed and tossed my head from side to the side, I struggled to wake up but a sharp pain in my body prevented. Suddenly I heard the door open and someone walked into the room.

"Good day Milord." A male voice greeted them politely.

His footsteps venturing closer to me and felt something heavy being placed onto the bed

"How is the patient?" The male voice asked.

"Her temperature went down but she is still in pain." Another sweet voice replied to him.

His cold hands touched my forehead for a moment then moved it away. There was a short pause until I felt his hand hold the back of my neck and tilted my head up. He placed a cup to my lips and urged me to drink it. The bitter substances were poured into my mouth causing me to choke on it while drinking but it began to take immediate effect on my body. So I allowed myself to give to the drowsiness and fall back into a deep sleep. After a few long hours, the numbness faded away from my body and I opened my tired eyes to see the familiar white ceiling of my room.

"Ah Milady, you are awake." I heard the sweet voice call out to me. Looking up I saw a blurry face of a maid.

"Ms. Justine," I said softly but the maid shook her head.

"No, Milady. I am Alicia, your new maid. I have been taking care of you while you slept." She said. I looked at her confusedly while she helped me sit up on the bed. I was surprised to know I had a new maid.

"Drink this. It will help." She said and tapped the cup to my mouth. I resisted at first but noticed it was tea and drank the sweet tasting water. The substance warmed my body and I left out a deep huff. The blurriness cleared from my eyes and I saw the young maid set the tray of food on my lap.

"How long I have been asleep for?" I asked her.

"Five days, Milady. They said you were attacked and was saved the Lord's brother. You must have been very frightened. " She explained. I looked at her surprised, finding it hardly believe that he would do such a thing.

"I will alert the King that you are awake, please excuse me." She pardoned herself.

As she left, I began thinking about what the maid had said.

'Lord Ritcher? Saving Lord Shu, Edgar and I? That can't be true, he's evil and hated me. And what happened to Shu and Edgar, are they alright?' I pondered, worrying deeply about the young prince and his friend. Knowing Lord Richer, he would have probably made the boy a slave or had him imprisoned.

Suddenly I heard the creaking sound of a door opening and turned my head around. I saw a pair of an eye staring back at me from the door on the other side of the room.

"Hello," I called out and I heard a soft gasp as the door closed it.

"Hey, is someone there? Wait who are you?" I called out, slipping off the bed and grunted as the pain shot up my legs. Walking slowly, I approached the door and tried to open it but found it was locked.
