She caressed the top of my head as I lay down in her arms. I was so relieved to find the only person I considered a real friend and mother figure to me, Ms Justine, still alive and breathing.

"What are you doing here, child?" my nursemaid asked, pulling away from me.

"What do you mean Ms Justine? We came here to save you." I said.

I was surprised to see the horrified look in her eyes and she moved away from me.

"What happened to you?" I asked, reaching out to touch to the swollen fresh but the nursemaid moved away from pulled Laito in her arms protectively. Looking down at her body, noticing her blouse was ripped and stained with blood from the bites on her shoulder.

"Is this some kind of punishment, Mistress?" Edgar asked. The nursemaid's expression hardens and tried to hide the marks. My heart pounded against I saw Laito whimpered revealing his bloody fangs. I looked over at Edgar and noticed the burning hatred in his eyes.

"You shouldn't have come, Milady. I didn't need saving." she said bitterly.

"No, you do!" I said stubbornly holding of her hands but she shoved them away.

I couldn't understand why Ms Justine resisted want to come with us. So many thoughts ran through my mind trying to find logic in what was happening. I suspected the dark prince to be seducing the female servants but for my nursemaid to have feelings for a vile man.

'Is....is she still in love with him?'

"Milady, I heard someone coming this way." Edgar called leaning from the doorway. Ms Justine looked at the him anxiously and grabbed my hands.

"You have to go back Milady!" She begged.

"No! I won't leave you here!" I said to her but she shook her head and squeezed my hands tightly.

"You will be killed if they find you here. I beg you Milady, please listen to me!"

"Then I will die with you!" I yelled at her. The footsteps started to get louder and my nursemaid looked back at me. I fought the tears that welled up in my eyes as I begged her silently to let me stay with her.

"Children follow me!" she whispered and pulled me up to my feet. Ms Justine led us to a small washroom room that hidden by a thick curtain. Ayato's face was pulled up in disgust and covers his mouth.

"I am not going in there." he whined.

"Move it, brat." Edgar said, pushing the stubborn vampire through the doorway.

"Come with us, Ms Justine." I whispered eagerly to the nursemaid but she shook her head.

"No, Milady stay here and don't move." She instructed pushing me into the room.

"No, you have to come, I won't lose you again!" I cried, wrapping my arms around her. Her trembling hands wrapped around me and squeezed me tightly.

"Don't worry, my child. I will be fine. Just stay here and be good." She said warmly. I felt she placed something large into my palm of my hand.

"I love you, Selena." she leaned down to kiss forehead and pulled away from me.

"Ms Justine no! Don't go!!"I cried and tried to run out of the room but Edgar pulled me back. The tears run down my cheeks as I looked at the curtains fearfully, I didn't want to lose the person I cherished in this mansion.

"Milady, hold still."Edgar grunted as he held me tightly against his chest.

"I can't stay here while Ms Justine is there with those monsters!"
