"Stay strong for me sweetheart," mom whispers and smiles weakly. "No you can't leave me mom!" I scream tears running down my cheeks. "Oh honey I love you so much I don't know what to do without you," dad says crying clinging onto mom's hand.
The line goes flat and I know she's dead. "No mommy you can't leave me!" I wail. The doctors come in to check her pulse and heartbeat. They confirm her death and tell us they're sorry for our loss then gives us time to say goodbye. "I love you mom. I'm gonna miss you," I whisper and kiss her forehead. "No woman could ever replace you sweetheart," dad says kissing her lips. Doctor Leeds enters and covers her with a sheet.
Mom was diagnosed with colon cancer when I was twelve. The doctors said Kemo therapy wouldn't help at her stage and told her she had four months to live.
When she told me this my world came tumbling down. For every second that passed I knew my mother was slipping away from me. Luckily she managed to outlive the four months and got to witness her daughter become a teenager.
Sadly the cancer worstened and she was rushed to hospital a month later.
Now here I am crying buckets for my dear mother.
I'll miss you mom.
