1 year later at high school.
"Hey!" I shout as my friend Ethan runs away with my school bag.
"Taylor! Natalie! Help!" I say. The three of us run after him.
Ethan throws the bag to my other friend, Chris, and he runs around the corner. Ethan laughs and I punch him playfully as we all separate determined to get my bag back.
After a half hour of chasing we give up and Chris hands me my bag.
We all sit on the wall. Me, Taylor, Natalie, Chris and Ethan but someone is missing.
"So you guys just abandoned me?"
Chase!
"Sorry!" we all say in unison and Chase sits on the wall with us.
Six freshmans enjoying high school wanting it to last a lifetime.
"I can't believe a year has gone by already! We'll soon be softmores," I say.
"Yeah we won't be the high school babies anymore," Taylor says.
"I don't care, I have my friends right here, " Chase says.
"Your such a girl, " Chris says pushing Chase off the wall.
"Hey! " Chase says and we all laugh.
Chase grabs Chris' and Ethan's shoes and takes off.
We all go running after him laughing before catching him and falling into a heap of sweaty, laughing fifteen year olds.
We all get up and go home. Taylor Natalie and I all go in the same direction while the boys head in different directions.
"See ya tomorrow, " Natalie says walking up her driveway.
"Bye," Taylor and I say in unison waving. We arrive home and our one year old sister Jamilah is waddling around in her diaper and I tickle her. Joan comes in.
"Hello ladies," she says and we say hello back before heading to our room to do homework.
High school did have some drama but we got through it and I know with my best friends by my side high school will be a breeze.
