It was Sunday afternoon in Yamada’s apartment. The clanging of plates, utensils and bowls could be heard in the unit.

“Ryo-chaaaannn!!!! Tatsukete!!!!!” a high pitched voice echoed throughout the house.

The bowl wherein the chocolate bars were currently melting was now emitting black smoke and smelled burnt. The chubby cheeked boy ran to the stove and turned it off. One word could describe Yamada’s kitchen, “MESS”. It was a total chaos when he allowed Chinen to help him in his task of baking for their class activity. He heaved a sigh.

Flashback:

“But…” the chubby cheeked boy interrupted as the whole class were silent once again.

“Since we have not much time to prepare, we would be assigning committees and team leaders for every task. With this it would be a lot easier for us to execute the plan.” Yamada said as he took all the class’ attention.

After elections and suggestions, almost everyone in class had their assigned task in each of the committees. Some had their own group discussions on how they would be executing the task.

“So that done, I also need a few hands to help me with the cakes. Since Yuto and Keito had voluntarily help me with it, right?” Yamada said as an evil smirk was formed on his face as he looked at his two best friends who gulped and smiled at him nervously.

Yuto and Keito nervously nodded their heads as to know that they have no choice at all. Yamada then looked at front.

“So I need one more…” the chubby cheeked boy trailed off as he search from the class.

Everyone looked very enthusiastic in volunteering themselves to help Yamada especially girls. Everyone was raising their hands hoping to be picked. Yamada scanned the class as he spotted one particular person who didn’t bother to raise his hand and trying to hide his existence by sulking further on his seat and hiding behind his book. A small smirk emerges on his face as he eyed the little squirrel.

“Hmm…Ah…Chinen-kun, thank you for volunteering yourself.” The chubby cheeked boy pointed at the little squirrel.

Wide eyed, Chinen pointed at himself in disbelief. He wanted to refuse but Yamada gave him a ‘don’t-you-dare-to-say-no’ look on his face and slowly nodded. The small boy could just only sigh in defeat as he nodded back.

End of Flashback:

The chubby cheeked boy could only heave a sigh as he looked around his messy kitchen. There was flour everywhere. The dishes were piled up in the sink. The chocolates were burnt. Some plates were broken. The baking utensils were scattered on the counter. It was a total disaster.

It should be four of them. Yuto and Keito had some errand or appointment to attend to so they didn’t make it. He had already thought of an alibi if either Yuto or Keito would suspect Chinen’s presence there. But to his luck he only had the chibi who kept on messing around.

“RYO-CHHAAAANNNN!!!! UWAAAA!!! MY HAIR IS SO STICKY!!” the little squirrel wailed that woke Yamada up from his reverie.

Seeing how the squirrel was covered with the batter all over the face and hair while looking at him as tears brimmed his eyes, the chubby cheeked boy couldn’t help but stare at the smaller boy. ‘Why does he have to be this cute?” he said at the back of his head. He shook his head to clear his mind as he chuckled.

“That’s why I told you to keep the mixer at low speed.” Yamada pointed out as he handed Chinen a towel.

“Mou~ that’s why I told you before that you can make me do anything be your pet even except for cooking.” The squirrel said mockingly while puffing his cheeks.
