Baby Shower

(Y/N's POV)

"I think it's about time you have a baby shower." Jassy suggested. "Don't you think it's a little late into the pregnancy for a baby shower?" I asked. I'm almost eight months. I think we shoulda did this months ago.

"No," She locked her phone screen, and looked at me, "This is your first child. Your supposed to have a baby shower! It'll be fun... we can invite everybody over. You'll get gifts for the baby and cake! We can barbeque, decorate the house all pretty. It can be a baby shower and a house warming party!" She continued. 

"Jassy, shutup. Your talking too much. And plus..... I don't know..." I said. She took a sip of her water. "C'mon. Let's start getting decorations. I'll start inviting people. We can have it... Saturday? Yeah, Saturday sounds good." She marked the date in her calender on her phone. 

"C'mon, we gotta get going. The party's in two days!!!" She said. She pulled me toward the door.

"Wait Wait Wait!," She stopped. "I gotta get my shoes! Jeez." I went to get my shoes, and met her at the car.

"Help me with these bags!" I yelled. "Girl shutup, the car right here." She said. She pressed the button on her keys to unlock the doors. 

"I'm tired." She gave me a mean look. "You are so lazy." She said. "I'm pregnant." I cried. "Find a new excuse." She said. 

She pulled off the store parking lot. "So, where we going now?" I asked. "We gotta get food and stuff." She said.

It was quiet for a minute, until she broke the silence. "So, how are you and Ray doing?" She asked as if she really cared. "why is it always about me and Ray with you? Why can't you just ask how was my day or something?" I complained.

"Fine. How was your day?" She asked. We stopped at a stop light. "Terrible. First I had to carry all those heavy bags, and now I gotta grocery shop. Today is just not my day." I said. 

She started laughing. "Don't make me slap you." She said. We both started laughing.

We pulled into the parking lot and parked. "How about you stay out here, while i run in and get a few things." She offered. "Sure." I said.

- 10 Minutes Later -

She came back out with about three bags full of snacks. "Okay, When we get home, I'll start calling people and let them know." She said as she got in the car.

- Home -

Jassy sat around calling people and inviting them. Lord knows if she invites anyone, she'll invite the entire state of California. I should have did the inviting, but whatever. I'm tired.

I went up to my room and plopped down across my bed. I might as well sleep while I can.

Saturday - 2:00pm

Day of Baby Shower

I crawled out of my bed and went downstairs. Jassy had already put up most of the decorations and was already dressed. "What time is it?" I asked. I rubbed my eyes. "It's 2:00 in the afternoon sleepy head." She said. She pulled some shipd out of the cabinet and started pouring them in a big bowl.

"Go get dressed. People should start arriving any minute." She said.

I went back up to my room, showered, did my hair, and put on clothes. I had on high-waisted leopard shorts with a white tank top, black leather jacket, and black heels.
