"Why are there police cars fallowing us?" I asked Zander. I could tell that they were fallowing us after watch them for close to half an hour.
"To get you out. They have been wondering where their missing girls have went to," Zander replied. He hasn't looked me in the eyes since we left the theater.
I don't know why, but I am sad that he hasn't looked at me. Like really sad. I honestly don't know why. How I would handle this, is skating in the skate park or racing with S8. S8 should be home with my evil parents right now. I just hope that they haven't trashed her.
By the time we reached the wear house, Zander stopped the car and rolled down his window. A cop got out of his car, and walked over to ours'.
"This is the place," Zander told the officer.
"Thank you, Mr. Wallis. I can take it from here," the officer said.
"Can you just do me two favors?" Zander asked.
"Maybe, sir," the officer said.
"Can you make sure none of the girls get hurt? They didn't do what they did without being forced and told to," Zander said.
"Of course. That is our main goal. There will be charges on the other gang members, but we have received word that you won't be punished."
"Thank you. Also, can you make sure that mine and her's names don't get out? I don't want them after us," Zander said again, but he never said my name. I could feel the sting.
"Of course. Thank you, son, for all you did," the officer said.
As the officer walked away, Zander rolled up is window and put the car in reverse.
The way back was quiet.
For what I would saw was a half hour, Zander finally spoke up. "If you want, you can stay at my place. I don't think your 'family' would like it if you came back to them."
I didn't really understand his thinking, but loved the thought of never going back the my parents ever again. "Yeah, that would be nice. Are you sure? I don't want to cause any trouble," I told him. I don't think telling him that my parents try to get other people to take me in, but I always cause some sort of trouble for them. One example, a family took me to the hospital to find out that I had a broken rib and was a bit underweight. It might seem like I wasn't back then, but I never really ate with my parents or even ever I was there.
"I'm positive," he said, not even a second later.
"Then, all I need is my things."
He chuckled for a reason I didn't know until I looked at the road. We, literally, were at my house. Literally.
