"Will..."

"'Will...' what?"

"Will you be my girlfriend?"

I looked up at him, trying not to spit out my drink. This was unexpected. And trust me, lots of unexpected things have happened to me. I think you might know what those unexpected things are.

"Um...well..." I could fell my checks burn, and my face turn into a bright red apple. I really don't know what to say. Do I say yes, or no? Either way, when we get back, its going to be a bit awkward.

Now, thinking back to one of the first things Jenna had asked me. 'Are you dating Zander?' Do I really like him that way? It would explain somethings, I guess.

I could see his face. Full with fear, worry, happiness, anxiety, nervousness, and pain. I know it must have taken lots of courage just to ask me that. I mean, this is me we are talking about. It's now like I'm going to die or anything soon. So, I did the logical answer and said, "let me think."

I could see pain, worry, and anxiety flood his face. Not even a second later, once I though he had enough torture, I said, "yes.

I saw his face fill with relief. If this was a serious topic, I would laugh at his face reaction. Ok, maybe I did giggle a bit. Just a little bit, okay? Just a little.

"What gave you the balls to ask me that question?" I asked him.

"I don't know. I little birdie told me to."

"I think that little birdie told me that you and I should be dating."

"And that birdie is right."

"A toast to that birdie?"

"Of course."

We clicked out cups together and drank. I think some of his wine got into my drink. We stayed a while, mainly forgetting about what time it was from talking.

It's going to be a bit weird when we get back to the apartment. It would be one thing if we have been dating for a while, but can't really change that. The plus side is that I don't have to worry about my parents anymore. Though, I don't know what to tell Jake. I do wonder if he has noticed I've been missing.

"What are you thinking?" Zander asked me, pulling me out of my thoughts on the car ride to a place Zander won't tell me where we are going.

"About if Jake has noticed I've been gone," I told him truthfully.

He took his eyes off the road, just to tell me this. "I'm sure he has." It was only a few seconds, but it made all the difference.

To be honest, I could feel it. The light was green, but an idiot on the other side wasn't paying attention or something. Before I knew it, the glass all around me was shattered.

I could feel the metal start to pierce my skin, blood started to flow. My head strapped forward, hitting the air bag. Hard. I couldn't see what was happening to Zander, as my eyes were starting to get swollen.

I started to feel a bit of pain before I was sunk into darkness.
