(4) Family Matters

Ava's Pov

I wake up to the sound of someone calling me.

"Hello?" I say

"Hello honey, your father and I are coming over for dinner at your house. Your brother is joining us as well." My mother says

"Okay Mother." I say

"So how's living in the new neighborhood?" She asks

"It's nice. I made a few friends so far." I say

"I'm sorry you cut out, did you say boyfriend?" She asks

"No Mother I didn't." I say

"Oh a boyfriend! Invite your boyfriend to dinner tonight! I would love to meet him." She says

"No Mother, you heard wrong." I say

"Oh okay bye honey see you and your boyfriend later." She says before she hangs up

I don't even have a boyfriend!! I NEED BETTER WIFI! No, I need someone to pose as my boyfriend.. Kian or Jc, maybe. I get out of bed and walk over to Kian and Jc's house. I knock on the door til Kian opens it.

"Hey Kian are you busy tonight or Jc?" I ask

"Jc is going to a meeting and I'm free why?" Kian asks

"You need to pose as my boyfriend because my parents think I'm dating someone. Most likely they think it's an A+ student who goes to Harvard." I laugh

"Okay I'm good at acting so I'll do it." Kian smiles

"Okay come over in a few so I could cover your tattoos. Please wear something nice." I say

"Only for you. Do we need to kiss?" He asks

"Possibly, is that fine?" I ask

"Yeah I just wanted to make sure so I'm not caught off guard." Kian says

"Okay thank you so much for this, I'll see you soon." I say

I walk back over to my house and walk in to see my older brother in my kitchen.

"JACOB! Hi how are you?" I ask

"I'm good, but we need to order food because I don't know how to cook." He laughs

"Okay dude, can you order? My fake boyfriend is coming over." I laugh

"Fake boyfriend?" He asks

"Well he is my neighbor, who offered to do this for me. Mom and Dad think I'm dating some Harvard guy, so he is posing as my boyfriend. I need cover up his tattoos with makeup though." I say

"Okay cool, I'm spending the night, and yes I know I'm dressed dumb, but you know Mom and Dad think I'm so perfect." He laughs

"Have to keep up the persona." I laugh

"Sadly." Jacob laughs

"Order something good." I say as I walk upstairs

"Will do." Jacob says while grabbing his phone from the counter.

I start to clean up the house and make it look presentable for my parents. After cleaning the whole house, I go to my closet to pick out a dress. I find a white dress that looks nice, and match it with nude color heels. I don't usually wear heels in my own house, but I have to for my parents.

The doorbell rings and Kian is standing there in a white button down and black skinny jeans.

"Hey Kian looking nice." I laugh
