(13) The New Life of Ava

Ava's Pov

I woke up the next morning really confused. I was in the middle of my bed while Kian and Jc were sleeping on my floor. I didn't want to wake them up, so I slowly got out of my bed and went to my bathroom. I washed my face and brushed my teeth. After finishing my morning routine, I walk downstairs to make some coffee. Crying all night took all my energy. I felt overly exhausted and hope this coffee will cure it.

"Good Morning." Jacob says as I walk into the kitchen

"Morning." I say

Jacob slides a cup of coffee over to the side of the counter for me.

"Thank you." I say as I take a sip of it

"I heard about your night." Jacob says

"Yeah it was interesting." I say

"I'm sorry Matthew did that to you. You don't deserve any of that. Next time I see him, I swear I'm going to-" Jacob starts to say but I cut him off

"No fighting please." I say

"Fine." Jacob says

"Thank you. Hopefully today will be peaceful enough to heal my pain." I say

"Sorry to burst your bubble, but Mom and Dad are coming to visit." Jacob says

"You're kidding." I say

"Nope, get ready." Jacob says as he takes a sip of his coffee and walks out of the kitchen.

I put my coffee cup in the sink and run upstairs to wake up the guys.

"Good morning fuckers!" I yell as I walk into my room

"shhh." Jc says as he puts a pillow over his head

"Morning." Kian says as sits up

"So my parents are visiting today." I say

"Time to be your boyfriend again." Kian laughs

"You already know." I smile

"Your parents still don't know about Matthew?" Kian asks

"No and they never will." I say

"Is Matthew that bad?" Jc asks as he sits up

"No, I just lied about dating Kian, so if I have a "new" boyfriend, they'll think I'm a whore." I say

"True and you're not even dating Mathew anymore." Jc says

"Exactly." I say

"Time to get ready then." Kian says as he gets up from the floor.

Later In The Day

I flatten down my white dress and take a deep breathe. The whole morning consisted of cleaning my house, rehearsing fake relationship details with Kian, and covering his tattoos. I fit Jc into the storyline by making him Jacob's friend from college.

"They're here!" Jacob yells before he walks over to the door.

"Mother and Father how are you?" Jacob asks as they walk in.

"We're doing good, and how's the house?" My mom asks

"Ava does a great job of living on her own. The house is always clean and organized." Jacob says

If only they saw the house before they got here. Since everything's been happening, I haven't had time to clean my house.

"Mom, Dad, hi." I say as I walk up to them.
