ANNA'S POV:
I had no idea what they were up to, and I smelled something going on. For one, Kian never ever invites me to go on dinners with them. Two, Kian and I always argue with each other so we barely even talk. Three, when Andrea invited me she looked like she was on to something. She never smiles when she invites me to things. But then again, maybe she just wanted to make up for the annoying date she made me go to. See, this is why I can always count on Andrea.
But then I start worrying because it's 6:30 and dinner's at 7. She isn't home, and I'm stuck in the living room holding my phone waiting for her to call or open the door. Minutes and minutes pass by and it felt like ages. I unlock my phone and decided to call her. Screw waiting, I'm impatient. I held my phone up to my ear and the ringing began, waiting for her to pick up.
"Hello?" Andrea answered.
"For fuck's sake Andrea where the hell are you? Did you forget about dinner at 7?" I said.
"I'm with Kian and we're stuck in stupid traffic." She said.
"Seriously?" I groan.
"You're gonna have to go to dinner before us." Kian said.
"Well did you guys make reservations?"
"Yeah, it's under my name."
"Just Kian? No party of 3 and stuff?"
"No, just go now so that they don't take us off the list." Andrea said.
"Fine." I sighed.
"See you later Anna Banana!" Kian said. I hung up and put on my flats, then headed to the restaurant.
When I arrived, there were so many people waiting for their names to be called. Thank god for reservations. I went to the front of the line.
"Hi, reservations for Kian?"
"Yes! Right this way." She smiled and made her way to a booth. As she put the menus on the table, I notice there were only 2.
"Wait, party of 2?" I raised my eyebrow.
"Yes, all Kian told me was 2 people." She said.
"Oh... Well, okay. Thank you." I smiled. She nodded then left. What the fuck was going on? Maybe they forgot to change the reservations to 3? I tried calling and texting Andrea but she wouldn't answer. As I look up, I see the waitress come back with another guy, but he looked familiar this time.
"Here you go sir." She smiled. We both looked at each other in shock, both confused at what we're seeing.
"Ma'am-" We both called.
"Have a nice evening." She left. He sat down across from me and well, things were awkward already.
"Kian called you huh." I said.
"Andrea called you huh." He said. We both nodded as I sighed.
"Well, since we're here, I guess we're going to have to learn about each other." I shrugged.
"Yeah." He giggled. "So, you're Andrea's best friend Anna, right?"
"Yup, that's me. And you're... Connor?"
"Yeah. Andrea's told me a lot about you. She just mentioned that you were single so many times to me and I knew that she wanted me to talk to you or something." He giggled. I shook my head.
"Jeez, she really doesn't know when to stop." I said.
We had a decent conversation, getting to know more about each other. I know I'm probably going to sound like a whore for saying this but... After all the dates I went on, Connor seemed like the most realest person. By that, I mean, he wasn't trying to be who he wasn't, trying to brag or show off. But I was still mad at Andrea and Kian for this.
An hour went by and the sun was gone, seeing the stars and the night lights.
"I should be heading home now." I said. "Most likely going to have a big talk with Andrea for lying to me." I put on my shoulder bag.
"Same, gonna talk to Kian about this." He smiled.
"Thanks for paying dinner, even though I was going to." I elbowed his arm playfully. We both walked out to our cars.
"Maybe next time if you would want to go out again next time." We stopped at my car as I see him with his hands in his pocket.
"That would be great." I smiled.
"Good luck with the talk." He said.
"You too." I gave him a hug then drove home.
-----
As I got home, I noticed Kian and Andrea all cuddled up watching tv like they usually do. It annoys me that Kian always comes over now and I have nothing to do but stay in my room as they make out in the living room.
I closed the door behind me and walked right up not even wanting to talk to either of them.
"Anna, how was your date?" Kian asked. I walked up the stairs not caring.
"Anna-" Before Andrea could say a word I slammed my door.
