Chapter Three; Niall's Legal
Maxxon Chase's P.O.V. :
"OH, NO," Louis groans, throwing his head back and sighing. I roll my eyes, sliding him over a bit for more space. Louis moans, mumbling incoherent words as he leans his head against the wall. "Here he comes. In his uncomfortably tight jeans and hipster glasses. Weighing in an 'I only eat salad' pounds, Ricky Moon." I ignore Louis, smiling at Ricky as he takes a seat beside me.
"Calm down, Louis. Why do you always have to stereotype Ricky? we know he's gay, but you make him out to be so much more, man." Louis gives me that look he gives Harry when his stories are lame. "Y'know, he doesn't need to be fabulously flamboyant to be gay," I finish.
"That's the point!" Louis exclaims. I raise an eyebrow. "Ricky is fabulous! I was supposed to be the only fabulous one in the group! The fact that Ricky's gay adds more fabulousness to it! I mean, don't get me wrong, I love shopping with you, but Ricky actually enjoys it. Like genuinely enjoys it. And the only time I see someone enjoy shopping is when you took Niall food-shopping with us." Louis pouts.
Someone coughs beside us. I turn around to find Ricky's purple contacts staring at me in a sort of amused way. I give him a sympathetic look. "Sorry, Ricky. Louis isn't used to having someone more 'fabulous' than him in our group." Ricky chuckles. "Besides, Louis likes you. He's just a tad bit jealous."
"Anyway, where's Niall?" Harry asks, setting a bowl of Pringles on the table. Oh, right. It's Niall's birthday. "I'm sure he'd be super excited to see Ricky again. I mean, you never forget your first American friend. Or, wait. Is it you never forget your first love?" Harry says, more to himself than us. He walks off, leaving just us three.
"Oh, right!" I exclaim, getting up and grabbing the top of Ricky's head. Ricky yelps, batting my hand away. "Ricky, get under the table," I say, pointing at the dining room table in front of us.
"Why?"
"We're surprising Niall! He's not gonna be surprised if he sees your gay-ness all over the room!" I exclaim, waving my hands frantically. (Louis makes a comment about me being a big jerk to Ricky and his gayness but I ignore it.)
"Fine," Ricky frowns, climbing under the table. He thumps his head a couple times. Louis and I sit in silence. I can feel Louis' tense muscles beside me, and I know Ricky can too. Finally, Ricky sighs. "Louis, I'm not gonna blow you under the table, if that's what you're thinking."
"Oh, thank God," Louis exhales. "We're cool and all, but I don't roll that way."
"He can still see me when he comes in!' Ricky exclaims. "So basically, this isn't even hiding me." Louis rushes off into the living room. Moments later, he returns with a blanket. I pick up the bowl of chips and let him throw the blanket over the table. "Oh, yes, the blanket will look so normal on the table."
"Shut up, you're a ghost," Louis says. Ricky thumps his head again. "Ricky, you're not making this easier for yourself! Niall hasn't seen you since you visited New York -- And that was four weeks ago!"
