I felt guiltier and guiltier every second of everyday.  Sophia doesn't deserve to be the prisoner.  I should.  But what I did really helped all the kids at school that bullied by Maddie.  School.  School has been on break ever sense Maddie was hit.  I haven't seen any of my friends sense.  Well my two friends Dara and Lacy.  Not even they know what I did; but if they did know they'd be happy that I had the guts to do it.  They both were victims of the Gruesome Twosome, as everybody called Maddie and Sophia.  All three of us were, more them but me, still;  Maddie hurt them.  A lot.

I pulled up in my school parking lot the next day.  I grabbed my cheap GoPhone and started a group call with Dara and Lacy.  "Dara here!"  I heard Dara's high cheery voice say "And Lay!"  Lacy's voice was equally as cheery as Dara's just not quite as high.  "It's so good to hear your voices!"  I squeeled into the phone.  "You as well buttercup!  It's been too long.  Remind me again why we couldn't hang out?"  Dara said surprisingly slow...considering she's always a hyper-active poodle.  "The city was grieving.  If we had too much fun, we'd interrupt the process."  Lacy said.  I heard Dara laugh.  "Are you guys here?"  I asked.  "Just pulling in,"  Dara said.  "Right behind ya!"  Lacy added "Okay.  Meet me at the doors!"  I said "Will do whip-cream!"  Dara said and hung up.  "You heard that too, right?"  I said while chuckling to Lacy.  "I did sergeant."  "Okay see ya in a few."  I hung up right as I pulled into a parking spot at school.  "Lanie!"  I heard Dara scream.  I turned around and saw her sprinting at me.  "AHHHH!"  I screamed as she pounced on me.  "Howdy!"  Dara said.  I laughed "Hi."  I said back.  "Let's go find meet Lacy by the door.  She's probably waiting."  Dara gave me a huge smile.  She tucked her long  red-brown hair behind her ears.  "I can't wait to start classes again!  I've missed school so much!  You don't even know!"  Dara said happily.  "You're right.  I don't know.  I don't ever think I'll find the joy in coming back to school.  Ever."  I said while laughing.  Dara was the brainiac of the three of us.  I was the artistic one, and Lacy was the athletic one.  "LAY!"  Dara and I screamed at the same time.  That made us, and Lacy laugh.  "Hey, guys!"  Lacy screamed back at us.  Dara and I raced towards Lacy and both pounced on her.  We all huddled together and began talking in low voices so nobody could hear us.  "I so don't want to be back right now."  Lacy said "Why not?  I love school."  Dara said.  "Says the nerd.  I think you're the only person I've ever met excited to learn." Lacy said to Dara.  "C'mon guys!  Lets finish the rest of our sophomore year, without the Gruesome Twosome, on a positive note.  Even if the last day was extended to a week after the original date."  I said.  We all gave each other grateful smiles.  Lacy bent down and retied her shoe as Dara pushed her nerd glasses farther up her nose.  We all put our hands in the middle.  "Power of three"  Lacy said.  "Power of three."  I added.  "The power of three."  Dara said last.  Lacy opened the door to the building and we all filed in.  Lets hope the first day back is the best day of the year.

Hey guys,

I hope you like this chapter as much as me.  You'd think from the looks of the beginning of the book Lanie would be the type of girl with no friends.  you guessed wrong!  Lanie has better friends than probably anyone.  Lacy and Dara resemble my group of close friends minus 5.

The picture on the side is what in my mind Dara looks like.  You all know her though as Demi Lovato.

Thanks my lovlys
