"Can I at least change out of these?" I said pointing down at my outfit.
"I don't see anything wrong with what you're wearing... you know what, go ahead. I'll wait." Ty said and smirked. I smiled back and hurried to the room, went through the bedroom closet, which didn't deserve the title wardrobe because it was that small, when I picked out some high waisted black jeans and a croptop with the word 'Flawless' written across it in a shimmery shade of grey, which btw I never wore before.

I looked at the outfit before me again and decided against it and picked out a flowy neon pink shirt and a pair of white jeans, paired that with white snickers instead.

It wasn't fancy but it was better than the sweat pants and granny sweater I wore earlier.
I hurried to the bathroom to freshen up and got dressed immediately.
I released my hair hoping it would fall to my shoulders but it sprung up instead, defying gravity,as expected. So I tied it up again.
I hurried out of the room but as I got closer to the living room I walked slower, thinking that maybe I would be the only one underdressed amongst Ty and his friends.

"Wow." Was what slipped from Ty's lips when I came into view. That was over exaggerated, there was nothing wow about me. I didnt even have any make-up on. Not that I ever wear make up.

"I look terrible, don't I?!" I said fiddling with my fingers.

"Beautiful... I mean you look beautiful." He said and I looked up to him surprised at his stutter of words, but I smile and slightly blush at his complement.

Ty opened the passenger's door for me and hurried to the driver's. Just as he was about to start the engine, his phone started ringing.

"Jerome!" He answered aloud, leaving it on speaker.

"Bro where are you with the drinks?" Jerome asked over the phone and Ty shuts his eyes knitting his brows.

"Shit." He exclaimed.

"Don't say you forgot?!" He asked before there was a really long pause. "Dude!?" Jerome said.

"Don't worry. I'll get them..." Ty said.

"Nah, nah man!" Jerome interrupted sounding furious.

"I'll be right there." Ty said starting the engine.

"Bring some ice-cubes along, then." Jerome said before ending the call.

"I hope you don't mind that we stop by the store first." Ty said facing me.

"Its ok." I said hardly looking at him. I couldn't help but feel guilty. I was the reason he forgot about the drinks and the reason he was late.
We arrived at a supermarket not long after that and walked right in, at the liquor section.

"Could you help me out? I need to pick out some snacks too." Ty said to me.

"Sure." I said and went my way. Ty placed his warm hand on my forearm stopping me and I turn back at him.

"Don't forget to get whatever you prefer to drink." He said and I nodded.

I got me some lemon flavoured water and placed it in the basket, and pushed the trolley to the snacks section. I picked every kind of chips I would normally not go for, I didn't always have 'great taste' , Helen would always let me know.

I picked a few from the bottom and couldn't resist my favorite at the top of the shelf, but struggled to get it since my height wouldn't let me.

I got on the tip of my toes which was useless. Still couldn't reach it and just then a larger yet muscular arm reached over my head easily grabbing the chips pack. "Is this what you wanted?" His minty breath hit me and my heartbeat quickened again.
I turn to face him and he was really close, so close his Axe was intoxicating.

"Um... yeah, thanks." I grab it from his grip and toss it into the basket with the rest. He too placed yet another bottle of liquor in there when he frowned.

He picked the lemon drink from the trolley and looked at me with a confused expression. "Lemonade?" He asked sounding just as he looked.

"Yeah. Is there something wrong with it?" I asked.

"Just thought it was more of a diet drink." He said as he shrugged and placed it back into the trolley.

"Maybe its because I am dieting." I said.
"What? Girl, why would you want to do that? I mean you have a beautiful body." He said and I blinked awkwardly before he shook his head.
"I'm sorry. What I meant was, you're perfect you are."

"You're just saying that. You would only understand if you were in my shoes." I said as I walked with the trolley towards the cashier.

"More like in your pants." I thought I heard him mumble behind me with a chuckle.

"Excuse me?" I turn back to him and he was hiding a grin but failed miserably.
"Nah! I didn't say anything." He lied. I'm sure he was lying.

"We done?" I asked.

"Um not quite." Ty said and grabbed a few more of those snacks and tossed them into the trolley.

"All of that?" I asked shocked at the amount of things we already had.

"Trust me. You don't know my friends." He said and his hand brushed over mine as he was trying to grip the trolley.

"Sorry." He apologized and let go immediately.

"It's... ok." I said, more like whispered.

We packed the items onto the back of the car and got in just before driving away in silence.

"My sister used to make fun of my body. She would say it was as if I stole half of someone else's body. That if I were to go to the hospital now, the doctor would diagnose me with 'half-diabetes', since according to her I was half obese." I said breaking the silence and Ty laughs. I join him too.

"I'm guessing your sister is skinny." He said, with a smile plastered upon his face though he wouldn't turn to look at me and I felt a bit disappointed that he didn't.

"Let's just say she has the perfect body." I replied.

"Well I know many girls who would die to have a body like yours." Ty said and I smile but couldn't help feel a little jealous by his mention of the many girls he knows. I didnt get why I felt that way, I wasn't the possessive type, especially with some guy I was just acquainted to. Any guy at all for that matter.

Lost in my thoughts, I look out the window and realised that we were now driving in some place I couldn't recognize.
"Where exactly are we going?" I asked.

"Trust me." That was all that Ty said to me. He kept his eyes on the road and didnt even bother looking at me.

Instead of trusting him as he asked, worry started to flash through me... oh-oh.
