...

Sitting behind me was Helen with her books beside her. She laughed at me. "Your facial expression...priceless!" she said and I rolled my eyes. "What were you doing?" she asked.

"Nothing." I answered maybe a little too soon. Helen rose her left brow and pouted her lips at me

"Right!" she said and I walked further into the house. "How'd your date go with your new boyfriend?" she asked.

"One, Ty is not my boyfriend and two, it wasn't a date." I said.

"Tell me everything!" Helen jumped from her seat excitedly. Didn't I just mention that it wasn't a date?

"Nothing happened." I said as I sat down next to her.

"Oh please?" she begged and I started telling her about my night.

"That's it?" Helen asked disappointed that there wasn't much spice to my story.

"Yep." I said and yawned, I was more than exhausted. "Did you eat?" I asked as I walked into the kitchen, guilty that I hadn't made dinner for her. She must have been hungry. knowing Helen, there was no way that she would cook.

"Yeah." she said and I turned on the lights in the kitchen and there lay a half loaf of bread. of course. I walked to the kitchen to get me a glass of water when, "Kat?" Helen called from the living room, and I hum in response, staring at the contents of the empty refrigerator. "Do you like him?"

I froze in place, thinking about Helen's sudden question. Did I like Ty?

"Katrina?" she called, snapping me out of my trance.

"Uh-huhm?"

"So do you like him or nuh?" she asked again.

I exhaled loudly. "I don't know." I answered truthfully, shutting the fridge forgetting why I had opened it in the first place.

"Well be careful." she said and I nodded even though she couldn't see me. I walked into the bedroom and neatly lay Ty's jacket on my bed, before stripping out of my clothes and replaced them with a towel. I walked out of room and heard Helen mumble something... "Tytrina."

"What is that?" I asked, confused.

"Oh, your ship name." she said nonchalantly.

"That is ridicules." I said as I made my way to the bathroom.

"Whatever, I'm still fangirling." She sang.

"Uhm, Helen?! You do realise that we're in Namibia right?!" I said, looking at her as she dramatically placed her right hand over her heart.

"Why thank you for crushing my American dream." she said and sniffed at the end. I chuckled lightly before entering the bathroom.

It was a Saturday morning and that meant work. I walked into the locker room and placed Ty's jacket in my locker when Sade joined in the locker room.

"Hey Kat." She gret with a genuine smile upon her face. Sade was really sweet. I could actually see myself becoming close friends with her.

"I can't believe I never noticed you before." She said and opened the lock to her locker which was just three lockers from mine. "So tell me, what did y'all do yesterday after we parted ways? " she asked and my mind just traveled back to last night how Helen was so disappointed after telling about happened and wondered if Sade would feel the same.

"Yesterday?"

"Yeah. I'm sure you guys didn't go clubbing. Ty would never allow that. So where did he take you?" She said and put her long hair in the hair net and shrieked. "Shit, I hate this thing." She mumbled more to herself.
