Ty and Katrina were heading back, fingers intertwined. I won't lie, I was kind of jealous.

I leaned into Kevin, my back facing him as I stopped him from cleaning up any further until he budged and finally put his arms around me. Mhhh, so warm, I thought. I loved it how he feels against my skin.

"Aren't they just cute?" I asked and even though I couldn't see him I could tell he was rolling his eyes at me when he didn't respond.
"Why don't you do stuff like that?!" I said plopping out my bottom lip like a kid before he nuzzled his head in my hair, his warm breath brushing against the sensitive area below my ear.
I loved the feel and I know that Kev knew that by now.
"Because I don't have to." He whispered in my ear and I bit down on my lip trying to hold back the smile but failed miserably. With one swing,I was now facing Kevin. He used his thumb to release my lip from between my teeth before moving his lips slowing, teasing me, against mine.

"Grouse! Get a room." Danny said obviously annoyed. So I deepened the kiss just to annoy her further.

📝Katrina👑

"Look at who is back, and holding hands." Danny said and both she and Jerome chuckle. My cheeks flushed and I immediately and awkwardly detached my hand from his, but couldn't help but think that maybe I may have offended Ty.
His face was emotionless, making it hard to read.

"Leaving already?" Ty asked and that is when I realized that the others were walking to and from the car and picking up trash.

"Yeah... ask Sade!" Danny said with a crocked brow, obviously mad at her.

"What? Its not like it is my fault!" She said coming out of Kevin's hold.

"What's going on? " Ty asked once again, sounding so calm and collected.

"Sade's old zali is in town, so..." Jerome began.

"So she has to rush home before she gets there. And since Kevin is our only ride- well." Danny completes and shrugged.

I felt like an idiot, just standing by Ty while everyone else kept pacing back and forth, so I grabbed a black bag too and got to work.

"I could drive y'all home." I suggested.

"Yeah, we figured you would prefer to go with your girlfriend instead." Daniella said motioning to Katrina who was giggling with Sade whilst picking up some paper plates off the ground. She didn't hear a thing and thank goodness.
I continued to stare at her, replaying the word girlfriend in my head and connecting it with her.

Katrina was probably the prettiest girl in the world. I loved everything about her, even the little things like when i would catch her staring or when she would quickly look away pretending that I hadn't noticed.
I found myself grinning at the thought and scratched the back of my neck.

"Any other plans for tonight?" I asked now that the entire place was all clean.

"Vibe!" Daniela answered cheerfully, of course, I should have figured.

"Yeah!" Jerome said and high fived Danny and I shook my head before I felt small fingers wrap around my bicep.

"Ty, before you ask, no. I can't go clubbing." Kat said to me.

"Of course not. I had other plans." I tell her and open the passenger seat for her.
Okay, I don't exactly have plans but I'll think of something.

"Adios amigos!" I said when I shut my door after getting in and drove off smoothly. Okay, maybe a little slow, Kev had to drive past me and they all waved at Katrina as they drove away leaving us in the dust.

I parked my car in front of Katrina's placed and we sat there quietly for a second or so.

"I had a greate time Ty, thank you." Katrina broke the awkward silence.

"Of course, you were with me." I said jokingly and caught her rolling her eyes playfully.

"I should probably go." She said reaching for the handle.

"Wait." I said and hadn't realized I had my hand on her thigh, so she sat back into her seat.
"Wanna go for walk?" I asked.

"Right now?" She asked with knitted brows.

"Why not?"

We hopped out of the car and fortunately for me, all my neighbours were in their homes, because I swear I would have died if anyone had seen me with him.

"You cold?" Ty asked after finding my cold shivering fingers.

"Sorta." I replied and he immediately removed his hoodie jacket and placed it around my shoulders.

"Thanks." I said softly, before our fingers intertwined again,and my head sunk feeling the little butterflies in my tummy.

"See that?" Ty said pointing at the sky which was only darkening by the minute. He was referring to a shooting star.

I know, this may sound ridicules, but I shut my eyes and opened them to an amused looking Ty.

"What did you wish for?" He asked and I was so glad he didn't point out how childish I was being a second ago.

"I can't tell, or it wont come true." I said.

"Isn't that a little childish?!" Ty said with a chuckle.

"A little... like you said." I said stealing a glimpse of his beautiful brown-greenish eyes.

"How is it like living with just your sisters?" He asked.

"I dont know. I guess normal." I replied. I wasn't sure how to answer that question.

"Where are your parents at?" Ty asked and I only wish he didnt.

"I like to believe in heaven." I said.

"I'm sorry." He said with a soothing voice.

"Its okay." I said.

"How did it happen?"

"It was a car accident. Ended up in an explosion." I answered avoiding his eyes at all costs.

"How old were you?"

"12."

"And you lived alone since then?!" He asked again and I nodded.

"Why didnt the three of you live with a relative or some?"

"The only one we have left is our granny and she refuses to leave her home in the village." I said as my vision started to get blurry.

"That's sad." He said softly and I tried to smile at him but the tears betrayed me instead, rushing down my cheeks and Ty pulled me into a hug.

He hugged me and I didnt want him to let go. I cried in his arms and didn't feel awkward about it. I felt like I needed him. That I needed his arms around me.

It was hard, my life was hard. I sometimes think even my sisters don't get how hard it is.

I pulled out of the embrace and sniffed a bit.
"Wanna go back?" He asked and I nodded in response, I didn't feel like speaking. "Can I have your phone?" Ty asked and hand it to him with no questions asked. I didn't have much energy to.

"There." He said as he handed it back to me.
"Call me if you need me."

We arrive a while later back at the house, standing in front of the gate and hugged goodbye.

I found myself wishing he wouldn't leave. I walked Into the house and only then I remembered I still had his jacket on.
I peered out the window but he was already gone. I locked the door and stared down at the jacket in my hand before inhaling his sweet cologne, remembering how he held onto me when I cried, and then suddenly the lights went on.
