Chapter X

"Again." Kaden's voice echoes and I continue to punch the punching bag. It moved a lot but not enough for my new found brother. After what happened, he wanted me to start training immediately. We had a couple of hours until a meeting with my father and the other alphas. I wasn't looking forward to it, my father was still in my bad books. I punch the punching bag as hard as I can, making it go flying. It crashes into a wall and I stand in shock. Kaden looks at me in shock, but gives me a smile.

"Good now go get dressed. Formal like usual." Kaden tells me and I nod, he kisses my cheek before he leaves. I look over to Kol and he nods to me. He was always with me now, he was the only I felt the most safe with other than Nathan and Kaden. Kol usually stays with me anyway, just in case. We have gotten really close and Kaden likes to say we are mates. Kaden told me about his mate and how she was killed my Orion. We have a mutual agreement that he should be killed. Nathan insisted I got a pregnancy test and thankfully, it was a false.

"Come on, i'll help you with your outfit." Kol says and I nod, grabbing his hand as I walk towards the door. We walk carefully through the halls, making sure to look everywhere and anywhere. I notice the alphas talking in front of the meeting room and ignore them. Kol and I walk into our room, he moved in after Nathan wanted me to have extra watch on me and Kol was the one he wanted to watch me in case.

"Go and take a shower, i'll change and grab you an outfit." Kol mutters and I nod, going into the bathroom. I look at my reflection, my black hair was still up in a bun and my blue eyes showed how tired I was. I pull my hair out of the bun, letting it fall to my shoulders. I turn to the shower and turn on the water before I slide out of my Nike shorts and my hogwarts tank top. I pull my undergarments off and jump into the shower. After I was finished cleaning up, I step out of the shower, putting a towel around myself and another on my head. I walk out to see Kol already in his suit and a dress on the bed.

"Who's all going to be there?" I ask him and he looks like he is thinking. I grab my dress and he turns around quickly. I slide into my undergarments and put the tight black long sleeved dress. I slide into a pair of black heels and look at Kol. He was naming off alphas going to be there and I haven't been listening at all.

"You can turn around." I tell him and he turns around immediately. I sit down in front of my mirror and begin to braid my hair. I pull it into a pony and begin to work on my makeup. Kol sits on the bed, waiting patiently. I put minimal makeup before standing up. Kol stands up quickly and puts out his arm for me to grab. I give him a smile, grabbing his arm. We walk out of the room and back to where I saw all of the alphas waiting. Kol shows me the way around everyone once we get into the room. They all stopped talking, staring at us. I glare at all of them as we quickly sit down at the end, close to Nathan.

"Melody, i've heard from Kaden you improved on your training." Nathan smiles at me and I nod, giving him a huge smile. Kol smiles at me and then looks at Nathan. "Well then, why don't we begin this meeting." Nathan says loudly for everyone to hear. They all quickly become quiet and sit down at the long table. My father sits at the other end of the table with his crown and all. He may be king, but because he's on Nathan's pack grounds, Nathan is in charge.

"What are we going to do about Orion? He wants the crown and does not care how he gets it, including raping the king's very own daughter." Nathan speaks loudly and everyone looks at me and I move closer to Kol. He glares at everyone and grips my hand tightly.

"I didn't think he would go so far just for the crown." My father says, looking towards me and I look somewhere else. I haven't talked to him since that day and I was hoping I never will.

"He thought if he got me pregnant, he'd be given the crown." I speak and everyone begins to talk in their own groups.

"We need to get the wolf protectors together." One alpha says, looking at my father. Kol's grip on my hand tightens and I look at him in confusion. My father looks at me as he begins to speak.

"We haven't found every single protector yet, Alpha Regan. For their powers to work, they need to be together." My father tells the alpha and looks from me to Kol to Kaden. I look at him confusion. "And it seems we have the last three in this room. Wrongly told about who they are." My father exclaims and I look at Nathan as he fidgets under my gaze. We couldn't be, could we? My father was looking at us when he spoke that, but it couldn't be true.

"Is it true?" Kol asks Nathan, hurt clear in his voice. Nathan looks down and nods. Kol stands up, bringing me with him.

"We will go to the palace with you as long as I don't have to talk to you. We will train and get ready for the war that will be soon to begin." I tell my father, looking at Nathan with hurt. Kaden stands up and everyone stares at us.

"So will I." Kaden says and we walk out of the room quickly, trying to get out of there. How could we not know, we were one of the four wolf protectors. The last wolf protectors to walk this earth. The only ones that can save the wolf world.
