Craven stiffened as we walked out of the woods into the backyard of my house. I frowned at him and tugged on his hand. "Whats wrong Craven?" My heart started to pick up. Was that vampire back? Were Johnny and Leslie okay?
Craven grimaced. "You're father and mother are in there, why didn't you tell me they were coming here?"
Full panic mode ensued and my eyes widened. "Are you sure? Shit! I didn't even know they were coming! Oh my God," I didn't want to face my parents but I did miss them. Still, the day after mating with your werewolf sweetheart was not supposed to involve werewolf parents that would know all once they got a good wiff of you.
He frowned. "Well, nothing is wrong from what I can hear. Your father is coming out," And just then the door flew open and my dad looked right at me.
My dad was a big guy, but now that I know the family secret I know its from being an Alpha since their builds tend to be.. bigger. His blue eyes narrowed on Craven but he nodded respectfully. He was in regular blue jeans and a black shirt with a biker logo on it.
"Well, why are you just standing there? Don't you give your daddy hugs anymore?" He grinned at me, no traces of the look he shot Craven visible anymore.
I grinned nervously and ran over to him and threw my arms around my dad. I felt like a little girl all over again, especially when my mom squealed happily and dashed out the house with Johnny and Leslie in tow. Her dark green eyes sparkled excitedly as she hugged me away from my dad.
"Oh honey, I've been so worred. Johnny told meyour wolf is coming out and that you found your mate," Her eyes trailed behind me just as I felt Craven's presense drawing nearer to me. "Why hello there, you must be Craven Nocturne, you look just like your father." My mom smiled warmly and bounced back to where my dad stood back a little; her aqua blue dress fluttered around her.
My mate smiled delightedly. "Yes I am, and you must be my Ash's mom, your eyes are the same." He wrapped his arms around my waist.
My dad cleared his throat. "Now that's my little girl, you better take good care of her or I won't hesitate to rip your limbs apart." My mouth fell open.
"DAD!" I glared at him and felt my wolf shift around.
Craven squeezed my waist assuringly. "Mr. Thompson, I see where your son get his protective side from, but whom am I to talk?" He grinned down at me. "But I love your daughter and belong to her. I would never let harm come to her, you understand with your own mate." He nodded at my mom.
My dad nodded gruffly. "I was told your dad is holding a pack meeting. Chase called us a few days ago so we decided to come up early for your birthday and to see you get inducted into the pack." He smiled proudly at me.
My mom's eyes looked suspisciously brighter. "Our little girl, grown up."
I groaned as Craven chuckled in my ear. "Well I need a shower, and a few words alone with my darling mate." I shot him a glare but knew it didn't look as intimidating as I wish it did.
Craven groaned and I grinned. "It was nice meeting you finally Andrew and Clarissa, but now I have to go face your daughter's wrath." He picked me up and raced me into the house and up the stairs with a warning that he better be back downstairs while I shower from my dad.
Soon as my door closed behind us he let me down and I spun around. "Why didn't you tell me there was a big pack meeting tonight!" I crossed my arms and tried to ignore my anxiety.
Craven rolled his eyes. "I would have, but.." He stepped closer to me so we were pressed against each other with a heated look in his eyes. "My mate seduced me unexpectedly after a surprise visit from a vampire."
I could tell my eyes mirrored his as I felt everything in me wanted him. "You had plenty of time before that." I said as he dipped his head down to my neck to kiss the skin there.
He shook his head. "Okay, so I was waiting for today. I just didn't want you to worry for long, it is really nothing to be scared of. These are going to be your people, Ash." He said firmly and met my eyes. "Please, I've held it off long as I could. My parents want to introduce you though, you do know they approve highly of you, right?"
I frowned. "They do?" I asked and ran my fingers into his silky dark hair, I felt like purring when Craven let out a small growl.
"They love you, and how you handle me. I've never wanted to settle down, all I wanted was to just take my place as Alpha and establish the ranks that come with a new Alpha. You've met Raven," I growled and clutched him tighter to me when he said her name. He grinned knowingly. "That was what I had going for me. But then I met you, and everything fell together. My top priority is you Ashlyn Nocturne."
I could feel wetness pooling in my eyes. "I love you, Craven." I brought his head down to mine and kissed him deeply before pulling away when I registered what he said at the end. "Ashlyn Nocturne?" I raised an eyebrow.
Craven smirked and rubbed my back. "Its only a matter of time baby, I like the sound of it too."
I grinned at him and could only agree along with him. Then decided to try something, looking at him I concentrated and found it was as easy as breathing to use our mind link. "I like it too, oh Alpha of mine."
He smiled widely at me. "I want to hear you speak in my head more often," I nipped his neck where I bit him last night and heard him growl. Just as his hands went to snake under my shirt I danced away from him.
"Nuh uh! I need to shower, and my dad expects you back downstairs soon, I won't be surprised if him or Johnny come up here within the next minute." I grinned evilly when I noticed his member straining at the front of his pants.
Craven shot me a glare and yanked me back to him. With a kiss to my forehead he leaned down to whisper in my ear. "I can't wait to toss you back in my bed later," Darting his tongue out he licked his mark on me and I gasped. Chuckling he pulled away and spun around to open my door and shut it, leaving me heated and needing.
I almost forgot about the pack meeting later tonight. Almost.
