I gave them both a incredulous look. “Mate and a Alpha? Like a damn wolf pack? This is the worst prank ever you two, nice homecoming prank Chase but I’m done now, I’m out of here.” I turned to leave when an arm looped around my waist.
“I’ll walk her back and explain things, Thompson go back to the party… enjoy yourself.” Craven ordered, I felt his eyes on me the whole time.
“Sure man but just saying, like I told Ryan earlier, hurt my little cousin and I will gladly rip your balls off and I don’t care if you are my Alpha. Have a nice night.” With that I heard retreating footsteps and looked over my shoulder to see Chase disappearing.
“You are not knowing where I live, stalker.” I shrugged his arm off my shoulder and walked away in hope he’d give up and follow Chase instead.
“You are more beautiful when you’re angry, do you know that? And when you are trying to fight your desire for me,” I stiffened and threw a glare at him over my shoulder, I saw him grin. “Yes, I know you want me too. I can smell it all on that pretty little body of yours.” My heart started racing again.
“You don’t know anything, now buzz off.” I muttered.
I heard an exasperated sigh. Then a low growl, this sound sounded animalistic. Slowly I turned around to see Craven baring his too sharp teeth and clenching his fists. The shape of his body started to blur and look at if it was moving too fast followed by the sound of clothes ripping. I was frozen in place when I saw Craven morph from human to a bigger than average black wolf with silver paws and a few specks on his muzzle.
“Craven?” The wolf growled and started to stalk towards me. Oh lovely, I thought, he got sick and tired of me fighting him off, now he actually did shift to a wolf and is going to eat me. I acted on pure instinct as I saw the huge animal edge closer to me: I ran.
I still heard the pursue of the wolf behind me, and he was getting closer and closer by the second. I forced my legs to move faster and run towards my house to survive. I started to see the edge of the woods path, the edge that met my backyard and I felt my heart flutter with hope. Another growl irrupted behind me and just as I almost got to the edge of my yard the wolf jumped in front of me.
