"Look here, I don't know who you think you are, but I'm not something you can just claim like property..." I gave him a thoughtful look. "Unless you are just trying to pull some sick joke." I heard other people gasp, some chuckled and laughed.
I looked at Chase, he looked like he didn't know what to do and he looked worried as he took a step in front of me. Paige was shocked but there was excited, slightly jealous look gleaming in her eyes. I saved Ryan for last and carefully peeked up at him, he looked angry. His face looked strained and paler, like he was sick or trying to hold back on something. When he met my eyes, I could see a glimmer of sadness. Something in me hardly cared though, all that that part wanted was Craven, and I was shocked and stupefied at that.
"Come with me," Craven bit out and brushed aside my cousin to grab my arm, dragging me into his side and started walking us towards the very dark trees in the back of the clearing everyone was in. I struggled against his hold and tried to dig my heels into the ground, I even resorted to slapping at him.
"Let me go! Chase, Chase where are you !" I looked back and saw him looking after me with wide eyes, he took a couple steps towards us but Ryan put a hand on his shoulder. I yelled in frustration and came to a deep, calm resolve. I relaxed against him and waited till we got to whatever place he was taking me, I'd take him by surprise there.
He led me further into the woods and further away from the flickering light of the bonfire and noises of music and peoples voices carrying on like some caveman didn't just force me off into the darkened woods. I started to feel slightly scared and wondered how long it'd take for Illinois state police to show up here if I called right now. If I could get my phone out and dial before the loon in front of me snatched it away.
"You don't have to feel scared, I would never hurt you." Craven said to me. I shivered at his voice again and felt desire but shook it off and focused on my anger. I heard him chuckle and then he whirled me around so my back was against a tree. I gasped in shock and tried to lunge off the tree but he held me back and pinned my body against the tree trunk with his. He effectively eliminated any possible space between our bodies, you couldn't even fit a coin between us.
I scowled at him and at the way my body was reacting, his face was so close to mine so I saw him smirk in the darkness. "You-"
"Your anger is cute, usually that would get annoying really fast but I like it. You're... feisty." He grinned at me. I tried kicking him but he leaned closer and shook his head, his nose was touching mine. "No, no, no." He murmured. My breathing hitched up and I tried to fight off the feelings coursing through me. My whole body felt like it was alive and on fire, like I was tossed into the bonfire and this was all some hallucination from the pain of it.
"You are so beautiful, everything I could have asked for and more." He murmured and trailed his finger down my face and around the outline of my lips. Those golden eyes narrowed and he leaned in closer and sniffed me. "You smell like Falls, his scent is all over you, what did you two do before I found you?" He demanded, anger in his tone. I narrowed my eyes at him again and ignored the tingling sensations traveling across my skin wherever his finger brushed me.
