“What!”I gasped and noticed how fast my heart was racing. I felt disoriented and strange, hot.

Craven was still on my bed with worry shining in his dark eyes. He had a hand halfway outstretched to me. “You were having a nightmare; I can still smell your fear.” There was pain in his voice and I felt something soften inside me.

“I-I’m okay, seriously, it was just a dream.” I assured him shakily as I made my way back on the bed.

He sat up and frowned at me. For the first time I noticed how his hair had the hot bed head look, brown hot mess. His eyes were bright and awake though, I assumed thanks to my nightmare fiasco. “You scared me, I was actually in a deep sleep and woke up right away from you’re fear, there was pain mixed in there too.”

I leaned in to him and wrapped my arms around his torso. “Everything’s fine, calm down boy.” I playfully ran a hand through his hair and giggled at his shocked look.

“Did you…” He quickly grabbed me and flipped me on my back. “Just refer to me like I was a dog?” He rested his forehead against mine.

A giggle escaped me and I nodded and watched him warily for his next move. He narrowed his eyes at me and slowly ran his hands down my sides. “Well then, I’ll have to show you how I’m far from a dog, honey.” He whispered in my ear and I shivered.

Craven nipped my ear and worked his way to my jaw line, inhaling me and kissing me. “You smell so damned good,” He groaned. “Like mouthwatering vanilla and blackberries, so good.” I got frustrated and finally locked my hands in his hair and brought my lips up to his. Craven lightly bit my lower lip; I moaned and gripped his hair tighter. I shifted underneath him and felt hardness in his pants pressed up against me.

“Craven…” I whispered. His head was in the crook of my neck again, moving down to my shoulder by trailing kisses.

“Mmm?” Craven rumbled and I felt sharp teeth scrape against the skin on my shoulder, how did my shirt get pulled out of the way without me noticing?

“What is happening?” I questioned and fought off the desire to rip his clothes off.

Craven chuckled. “Our bond is kicking in, wanting us to mate... Ash?” He sounded nervous.

That tone of his made me wary instantly. “Yes?” I replied cautiously.

“I’m going to mark you; this will only hurt a minute.” He stated and before I could push him off me, which was impossible since it was like trying to push against a brick wall; Craven dipped his head back to my shoulder. I felt a sharp slice into my skin and cried out as I felt Craven’s teeth sink into my skin, it felt horrible but pleasurable at the same time.

“Stop!” I warned him and threw him off. Energy rushed through me and I felt stronger, I kicked off the bed and felt my shoulder to find blood trailing down both sides. “Why did you do that!” I yelled in confusion. Emotions were hitting me, anger, worry, regret, love, lust, an emotional headache.

Craven ran a hand through his hair and sighed. “You taste good, your body called for me to mark you mine. Now you can sense my emotions, some of your senses will be heightened as well.” He said nonchalantly. I gritted my teeth and fought the urge to beat him.

“I like how you think it’s perfectly okay for you to just take random chomps out of me, get out of my house, now.” I commanded. He narrowed his eyes at me and stood up to walk over to me.

“You didn’t let me finish my mark,” He reached to rip my shirt off my shoulder and leaned forward to lick the bite, a flood of pleasure washed through me and I gripped my bookshelf. “There, it’ll heal by the time you’re brother and his mate get back here.”

Johnny! I totally forgot about him. “Where is he?” I questioned Craven suspiciously.

He gave me a dark grin. “They ran out to grab breakfast, so I assume they should be back soon, gives us a little time to…”

I narrowed my eyes at him. “No way in hell, just because you claim I’m some kind of soul mate for you does not mean I’m going to be your personal slut, now leave.” I pointed toward the door. That part of me that arrived when I met Craven was yelling at me to stop and let him stay, but I shushed her up and kept glaring at my “mate”.

He glared right back at me and snatched his shoes off my bedroom floor. “This is not over; I’ll see you later, Ash.” When I started to roll my eyes at him he darted in to plant a firm, possessive kiss on my mouth. I gasped and watched wide eyed as he stalked out my room and slammed the door behind him.
