Hey guys, I know this chapter is a little weird, I think the spacing got a bit messed up, but bear with me here, hope you enjoy :)

I got to the backdoor of the house before Johnny did, Leslie was anxiously waiting in the door, and her baby blue eyes were filled with worry.

“What happened, Johnny?” She asked and opened the door for me. I walked right past her without a glance when she looked at me, far as I was concerned she was as guilty as Johnny was.

“Chase took Ash to a pack party and she met the new Alpha…” I heard him kiss her forehead and walk after me.

“And?” She prompted, following us, I rolled my eyes.

Johnny sighed. “My darling sister is the Alpha’s mate, can’t you smell it?” He asked, the way he said it made me want to lunge at him.

I heard a tiny sniff come from Leslie as I threw myself down on the couch and closed my eyes. “Oh my, I knew you said she was going to meet the pack, but this… what will Andrew and Clarissa say about this?”

Johnny sighed. “They knew it was a possibility, for her to make her shift, if she shifts, she needs the influence of the pack around her.” My eyes snapped open and I shot up.

            “What?” I hissed.

Johnny and Leslie looked at me in alarm. “Calm down Ash, relax.” Leslie told me as she put her long blond hair up in a bun. By the look of her yoga shorts and one of my brother’s shirts she was wearing, they jumped each other soon as they got in the house earlier.

Johnny got what I was freaking out about, I saw it register on his face. He ran his hands over his face and went to take a seat on the chair by the couch I was occupying.

“Let me start from the beginning, please don’t get worked up, at least wait till I’ve finished.” I nodded and relaxed back into the couch while mentally putting a sticky note in my head that Craven never mentioned me shifting too.

“This all started before you came along obviously. Our dad is a werewolf too, and he belonged to the pack that lives here in Illinois, in fact he was the new young Alpha.” Did that mean me and Craven were related? Disgust twisted in my mind. “After the first two years of being Alpha he got a son from his mate at the time, an arranged marriage to a women named Nicole who died the night her son arrived.” I gasped, from the look on Johnny’s face, Nicole had to have been his mother, and we were half brother and sister. He continued and ignored my expression. “A few months later and our dad ran into a new human in town, Clarissa Collins. She was his mate and he knew it, took him a little while to win her over, but eventually he got her on his side. Thing is in wolf packs, it’s extremely rare for a wolf to find a mate in a human, and it is against most pack laws for their Alphas to breed with humans and create hybrids…” He raised an eyebrow at me.

I cleared my throat. “So you and me, we’re half brother and sister?” I questioned.

He nodded. “Same father, but we have different mothers, but I consider your mom as my own, she was the one that raised and loved me like her own child.” A tender gleam shone in his eyes.

“Go on, please.” I said and waited for more.

He sighed. “As I said, Alphas can’t give hybrid heirs, some hybrids don’t live long and some can’t even shift right. Only thing left to do was step down and let another Alpha step up, the brother to the Alpha that runs the Wisconsin pack, Derek Nocturne was sent here to take over the pack. A new wolf had to take the position, uncle Tristan was denied having the position and Chase was too young. You were yet to arrive, me, mom and dad took off to live in Indiana and stay out of the pack that lives there way. Derek granted visits here to see Chase and his parents, but other than that…” He trailed off.
