Before moving to Forks, Cassadee Swan did not believe in anything supernatural. She also didn't think she would fall in love, which she was perfectly fine with. All the brunette wanted to do was spend time with her father, sister and her best friend, Jacob Black, before graduating and going to college. Although she did do just that, she just so happened to find love with the blond vampire known as Jasper Hale. The couple had been through a lot to say the least; from Cassadee almost dying to Jasper being the cause of her change and leaving.

Upon the Cullen's returning to Forks at the end of their senior year, Cassadee was not one to forgive Jasper the second she saw him. She was still upset that he had left her and she made it known that it was going to take him to forgive him. Her relationship status with the Hale was the last thing on Cassadee's mind as she had to deal with being the rarest of supernatural creatures and a newborn vampire army after her. During all the chaos that was her life, Jasper proposed to Cassadee. As soon as Victoria and the newborn army were taken care of, Alice began planning the wedding.

In the time that Cassadee had become immortal, she didn't fear anything more than getting married. It wasn't that she didn't love Jasper, she loved him more than just about anything. She wasn't scared of being with Jasper forever, she knew that's what she wanted. She was scared because she knew something much bigger than anything they had ever dealt with was coming. And for the first time in her life, Cassadee had no idea whether the outcome would be good or bad.
