THIRTEEN; SOMETHING WICKED THIS WAY COMES
As time went on, things were finally returning to normal. Well, as normal as it could be for Cassadee and her family. Eden and Renesmee were still growing at exceptionally fast rates, to the point where they could easily pass as five-year-old's at just two months old. No one knew why Renesmee was growing quicker than Eden, but then again no one knew anything about half vampire children. However, if Cassadee had to put money on it, it was because Eden healing Bella during her pregnancy and after birth had slowed the process down. While Bella was most concerned about how much time she had with Renesmee, Cassadee didn't think about it much, or at least she tried not to. There was no point in it, it was completely out of her control and she wanted nothing more than for her daughter to grow up as normal as possible.
Charlie was much happier now that he could see his daughters and granddaughters. He would rather know close to nothing and have them around than everything and not know where his family was. He spent most days with the girls, and if they weren't at his house then he was at the Cullen residence.
Sue Clearwater accompanied Charlie on a few visits, and she was even more uncomfortable than Charlie when he first came over. Because the woman never appeared uneasy around her, Cassadee assumed it was because she was around so many vampires in close proximity. Maybe that was why she always inched closer to Charlie whenever someone moved a little too quickly. Aside from the wolves, Cassadee was the only nonhuman creature that Sue trusted, and the equalizer made an effort to comfort the woman whenever she got visibly tense. The only person that was more uncomfortable than Sue was her daughter, and Leah made a great effort to only come over when absolutely necessary. Even then, she stayed outside for it.
Sam and Jacob were now on good terms, much to Cassadee's relief. Though she and the Uley pack weren't necessarily on bad terms, it was tense considering the fact that they tried to kill Renesmee. Because both packs were now getting along, Jacob was the only one constantly at the Cullen residence.
Today wasn't anything too out of the ordinary, Charlie came over after work to be with all his girls, but Sue decided to stay home and Renesmee was preoccupied playing with her favorite aunt, Rosalie. Bella and Edward were at their cottage, no doubt taking advantage of their alone time. Which basically just left Charlie playing Monopoly with Eden while Cassadee sat between the two and read Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire for the fifth time.
"Pay up, kiddo."
"This is a stupid game." Eden grumbled, giving the fake money to Charlie after she landed on his property.
"Just be happy your mom isn't playing." Charlie told his granddaughter as he gladly took her money. "She has no mercy."
"She would've already lost by now." Cassadee pointed out, never looking up from her book. "You're really being too easy on her."
"She's only three months old." Charlie reminded his daughter before looking at Eden. "Somehow."
"I told you not to question it." The brunette reminded her father. "Besides, she's almost as smart as me at this point."
"That isn't saying much." Emmett chimed in, earning the middle finger from Cassadee and a scolding from Charlie for doing it right in front of Eden.
"Don't worry, Papa," Eden said, back to her usual cheerful self. "I've seen Mommy do worse."
"Jesus, Cass," Charlie sighed, which resulted in her giving him an innocent smile. "What do you guys do around here?"
"I may or may not have thrown Edward through a wall once or twice."
