SIXTEEN; COME TOGETHER
"This is not going to end well." Emmett said, watching Peter and Charlotte stare Maria down from across the yard.
"Did Jasper think this through?"
"I think that's highly unlikely."
"Or he did and that's why he's not here right now."
"That or the Volturi got him."
Cassadee slapped Sam on the arm. "You're not funny."
"I wasn't trying to be." The werewolf snapped, rubbing his arm. "I'm just being realistic."
"He's fine." The brunette confirmed. "I would've felt something if he wasn't."
Peter and Charlotte arrived not even an hour after Charlie left, and almost left as quickly as they came when they realized Maria was present. Cassadee was outside with Seth and Eden when they came, and one look at the blonde child was enough. Charlotte was very reluctant to stay, but Peter pointed out how much Eden looked like Jasper, and that seemed to remind them why they came in the first place.
Bella and her family returned later that night with the Denali coven, minus Irena. And, aside from Garrett, they were quickly Cassadee's favorite. Maybe because she already knew them, maybe because she could trust them not to slaughter half the town, she didn't really know. Tanya was also quick to see that Eden looked like her father, but Kate was even quicker to point out that Eden took after her mother in the personality department. "She's either going to save the world or set it on fire," said Kate.
The Egyptian coven was the next to arrive. Benjamin was possibly the biggest sweetheart Cassadee had ever met and his mate, Tia, was also sweet but quiet. Amun looked pissed at all times and kept his distance almost as much as the nomads did. His mate, Kebi, was even quieter than Tia and never left Amun's side.
Carlisle and Esme were the last of the family to return with the last witness. A vampire with long blond hair named Alistair, who was even more unpleasant than Amun. He immediately went to the attic when getting to the Cullen house. If Cassadee were human, she wouldn't have even known the vampire was there until she finally saw him three days later when he went to hunt.
"I feel like I'm being replaced." Garrett said, sounding wounded.
"You are." Emmett said, "Sucks, doesn't it?"
"Learn how to control the elements and then we can talk." Eden told Garrett before turning her attention back to Benjamin as he created a small tornado of dirt in front of Eden.
Everyone heard it before they saw anything, the sound of jungle animals in the wind just before two tall and tan vampires stood on a tree branch.
"Who are they?"
"Senna and Zafrina. From the Amazon."
Bella took Renesmee's hand and led her to the vampires, Edward and Jacob with them.
"Who went to the Amazon?" Cassadee asked Rosalie.
Rosalie watched Renesmee put her hand on Zafrina's cheek, showing her everything the child has seen. "No one as far as I know."
Cassadee grabbed Eden's hand and took her to meet the Amazonians as Renesmee put her hand on Senna's cheek.
Senna and Zafrina looked at Eden, waiting for her to do something. "I can't do anything like Ness can, but I heal things, so that's pretty cool."
Everyone was skeptical of the little girls. However, between Renesmee's gift and Eden's charm, essentially everyone fell in love with them. None of the vampires, aside from Garrett and Benjamin, were particularly fond of werewolves being around constantly. And as more vampires set foot in the Quileute territory, more of them turned, and Jacob was busy with them if he wasn't with Renesmee.
