THE NEXT GENERATION

"I know you guys don't eat often but would it kill you to have food in the house?"

"I'm so sorry for the inconvenience," Cassadee said sassily. "We have this really annoying problem with werewolves eating here more than they do at their own houses." She took the bag of chips out of Paul's hands. "Those are for later."

"If you think one bag of chips is going to feed everyone you are in for a long day."

"How come Eden bringing her girlfriend over requires a party but when I started dating Lincoln people barely looked our way?" Valentina Menendez, Eden's best friend and Lincoln's girlfriend, said.

"Sweetheart, everyone knew it was going to happen eventually." Cassadee patted the girls head. "And it's not a party." She stated before shooting Paul a look. "Her uncles just come whenever they know there's going to be food."

"I'm offended that you think that's all we care about." Embry said as he entered the kitchen, ruffling Valentina's hair as he passed her. "We need to make sure that our princess Eden is taken care of."

Now Jared came into the room. "But since you brought food up, what's for dinner?"

"We really need to start locking the door." Cassadee muttered to herself. "I hope you dogs realize we don't have enough food or space for all of you."

"It's a good thing your bloodsuckers don't eat."

"In case you forgot, they have to pretend to be human tonight."

After the almost battle with the Volturi, the Cullen clan managed to stay under the radar and never brought anymore attention to themselves. They were able to stay in Forks to be around Charlie, which was all Cassadee wanted in life. A few months after the Volturi visit, Cassadee gave birth to her and Jasper's first and only son, Lincoln, who was almost the spitting image of Cassadee but got his personality from his father. Eight years later, Cassadee had their last child, Gemma, who was the perfect combination of her parents, looks and personality wise. Cassadee became a lawyer and was currently the only one in Forks, and it was decided that she would continue with that until Charlie would pass and then the family would move to a different town to start over. Charlie and Sue got married, and over time, he learned about vampires, and it suddenly all made sense to him. Eden, Lincoln, and Renesmee all went to Forks High School, which looked exactly the same as when Cassadee went sixteen years ago. Renesmee and Jacob had recently started dating, which everyone had seen coming with Alice's visions. Alice found her mate after the Volturi meeting, Nahuel's aunt, Helene, and they often split their time between Forks and Brazil. Leah eventually imprinted, and he was the perfect match for her attitude. Most of the Uley and Black packs had families of their own, but that never stopped them and the Cullen clan from getting together at least once a week for family dinners, even if having twenty children and teenagers running around drove half of the adults crazy.

"Honey, we're home!" Eden called as soon as she walked into the house with Gemma, Jasper trailing behind them with several grocery bags. "What are all of you doing here?" She asked her werewolf uncles. "I thought we agreed on just us."

"Well, we did, but apparently your uncles didn't." Cassadee shrugged as she kissed Jasper after he put the bags on the counter.

"When is it ever just us?" Lincoln asked, coming down the stairs. "It's rarely ever just us when we're sleeping." He kissed Valentina's head as he passed by her, reaching for the chips that his mom had just taken from Paul moments ago.

"I'm never bringing anyone to meet you guys." Gemma said, putting her hand in the cookie jar. "You guys are too embarrassing."

"I'm the least embarrassing one though, right?" Emmett asked as he walked into the kitchen, the rest of the Cullen family trailing behind him.
