FOURTEEN; COMPLICATED

Cassadee was really starting to miss being human. Granted, she'd said it several times before, but this time was completely different circumstances.

The Volturi now knew of Eden and Renesmee and everyone knew it was only a matter of time before they came to Forks. Cassadee tried her hardest to stay relatively calm after her initial freak out, but Alice saying that even the wives would come and Jasper was unhelpful enough to point out that they've never left the tower they lived in, not even when the Volturi hunted the immortal children, Cassadee had all but three more panic attacks within five minutes of each other.

"Sorry, darling." Jasper apologized after, earning a nasty look from both his wife and his daughter.

The Volturi was well aware of the fact that Cassadee's death meant the end of all supernatural beings, but that wouldn't stop them from killing her entire family; you didn't have to be a genius to figure that out. Before Eden, Cassadee would've said fuck everything and gone to the Volturi herself, she was just that impulsive and protective of her family. But now the brunette had to think of what would be best for her daughter, and essentially going on a death mission was not the best idea.

In all honesty, Cassadee hoped with all of this was just a terrible nightmare, that she'd wake up in the morning and everything would be back to normal. However, Cassadee didn't even close her eyes that night. She spent most of the night staring at the ceiling while Eden slept soundly next to her while Jasper read all that he could find about other half vampire children, not like there was a lot of reliable information on it. It was a little easier for

"At least we get to go to London again." Esme told Carlisle as they finished packing, a smile on her face. "We haven't been there in a long time."

"I wanna go on a trip, Mama." Eden said, sitting next to her grandparents' suitcases.

"Sweet pea, we can go anywhere you want once all of this is over."

Eden gasped, already thinking of all the possibilities. "Disneyland!"

"You could've gone bigger and said Disney World, but alright." The brunette said, smiling at her daughter.

Eden shrugged, "I wanted to start off small and work my way up."

Esme smiled at the child before looking at Jasper. "It looks like you have a mini Cassie on your hands."

"God help us when she becomes a teenager." Cassadee muttered to herself. "I could barely handle myself."

"Why aren't we going anywhere?" Eden asked Cassadee, jumping off the table. "We could go to Disneyland now!"

"But we need to stay for Papa, we can't leave him all alone." Cassadee told her daughter. "Who would watch Scooby Doo with him?"

Part of Cassadee wanted to go on the road to find more of Carlisle's friends, she hated staying home while everyone else seemed to be doing all the work. But, at the same time, she felt like something would happen if she were to leave. She was well aware of the fact that the wolves would take care of Charlie if she were to leave, but she was much more at ease knowing that she wouldn't be far from her father. No one could protect him like she could. Cassadee was aware of it being a stupid thought, especially with the human being surrounded by so many supernatural creatures, but she was just that protective of him.

"Alright." Jacob said, swinging a bag over his shoulder as he turned to the door. "Let's get this show on the road." He stopped when he saw Sam come out of the forest, a ripped page in hand.

"Why do I have a feeling this isn't good news?" Cassadee said as the rest of the Cullen family came outside, luggage in hand. "Oh, right, because nothing could possibly go right, that would make life too easy."
