Chapter 21

In the morning I woke up to Jessie poking my cheeks.

"Liz... Liz wake up... Auntie Lorna wants you to get up."

I opened my eyes a little to see my mom and Jessie looking at me.

"Ok... I'll be down in a few minutes."

I closed my eyes and then Jessie started tickling me causing me to burst out laughing.

"Jessie! Jessie please stop 😂😂."

She stopped tickling me as I sat up.
I looked over and Grayson was still sleeping.

"Hes cute when he sleeps."

I looked at Jess and giggled.

"Yeah... He is..."

"Ok well we're gonna go downstairs. Get Grayson up and come downstairs."

I nodded at my mother and her and Jessie left.
I looked over a Grayson who opened his eyes.

"You think I'm cute while sleeping?"

"Well yeah but I mean, you're even cuter when you're awake."

"Cheesy... I like it."
He winked.

"Well since you're up my mom wants us to go downstairs."

"Ok then let's go."

We got up out of bed and walked downstairs.
The first person I noticed was Emma and some guy that she was sitting with.

"You guys are awake! Finally! Liz come here."

I looked at my sister nervously as I walked over to the couch and sat next to her.

"Liz this is Carlos.. Hes my boyfriend. Carlos, this is my little sister Elizabeth but we call her Liz for short."

Carlos smiled and stuck his hand out and said
"Nice to meet you Liz"

"Dont call me Liz.... Only people who are close to me can call me that..."

"Liz.... Come on , Carlos is like family now..."

"Maybe in your world but I just met the man..  I don't want people I barely know calling me by the nickname that my REAL family and friends call me."

"Liz.."

"No no, it's OK Emma.... Her reaction is quite reasonable."

"Of course it is... Why wouldn't it be?"

Before he could answer, I got up off the couch and walked to the kitchen where everyone else was.
